Re: Bitcoins

I have watched a few CNBC interviews with cyrpto-coin heads. They interviewed the CEO/Founder of Litecoin and the presenters made some points that made current crypto coins look stupid. Aside from just saying why would I invest in Bitcoin when there are 1000s of alternatives that work better with th...

Re: Bitcoins

Came across this article from Bitcoin.com, it talks about how Bitcoins network is struggling. Never thought I would see a quite negative article on Bitcoin on Bitcoin.com I also saw this good interview on CNBC where the presenter constantly asked these "crypto coin" experts, "if some of the 1000's o...

Re: Wind and Solar vs Coal, Gasoline, Nuclear

The CO2 in our breath, or from our compost piles, or that's emitted when we burn wood, is part of a natural closed cycle. It's not the problem. The problem is emitting billions of tons of fossil carbon as CO2 without having a corresponding mechanism to take it back out of circulation. Rising atmosp...

Repeat ..Repeat,.. Again.. Majority of the developed world lives in cities, with a high proportion in apartment blocks....with the majority of those renting, not owned. When it comes to the global carbon tax you have to have to understand that its quite literally bundles of money that go offshore into dubious places where wall street types start trading it and have historically got it caught up in fraud allegations while getting rich off the backs of the poor. *Edi...

Well, South Australia/Adelaide had their first newsworthy blackout, if it wasn't for the fact it was in the city center etc it probably would have been swept under the rug. I think I used to be a subsilver user but I probably changed to that view mode the day I joined and forgot it wasn't default.
I am now using the Square NX style and it looks/works great for me.

Well done on the upgrade.

I have used some of these types of 10awg splice crimps have worked well, there is no reason you can't use them on pre-soldered XT90 connectors. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Amass-XT90-S-Female-Connector-Shealth-Anti-spark-10awg-wire-For-RC-Lipo-Battery/112245869750?epid=503186152&hash=item1a22600cb6:g:-...

I bought a tiny bit of bitcoin to play with and I couldn't believe how crap it is. If you just want to transfer $5 worth of bitcoin it can take like 30mins because the exchange miners priorities based on size, and to complete the transaction they take a massive bite out of that due to the electricit...

I have to say I never really noticed the capacity degradation of winter vs summer in the past but I took my ebike for a 20km long run up the city (40km round trip) to a friends place that is about a 100meter higher elevation than where I live and I couldn't believe how much capacity I had once I got...

Re: Why would battery connector melt?

There is an XT90 connector between the breaker and the shunt, the positive bullet within the connector has actually melted the yellow plastic and separated from it (the yellow has turned black!). The negative is completely fine. Is this just down to a poor connection/solder do you think? Unless you...
