Meanwell RSP2000-48 2kW Power Supply/Charger

Hi, Meanwell RSP-2000 48V power supply. These are very robust units offering great power density. Can be easily modified by attaching one pot in place of a trimpot to provide adjustable current limiting and so work as a CC/CV high power charger. Output voltage is adjustable from 40-115% of rated out...

Re: Legit 18650 supplier Australia

I have ordered hundreds of cells from Nkon. They are very reliable and despite being in Europe the cost works out cheaper than any legit supplier here in Aus - even at local wholesale prices.

Re: My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

I've just moved the current build 1.2 into full release meaning the app is now available for anyone to purchase at the Google Play store. Thank you for your feedback in the beta so far - I will hopefully be getting a new beta release out soon. Please continue to send me any bugs you find.

Re: My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Sorry guys for the lack of responses lately - I have been busy with work stuff. I'll get back to working on the app in the next couple of months. I also have to decide whether to bother onctinuing to design my own cell monitoring hardware or just support other BMS like the TinyBMS etc.

Re: Panasonic NCR18650B 2.7kWhr pack for my Stealth Bomber

The pack is going great. The discharge profile still follows the 0.2C curve from Pansonic. There has been no detectable loss in capacity. I'm currently building a 'booster' pack out of the same cells - this will be 16S5P and only paralleled with the main pack on trips that require it. It will be sto...

What about a Rohloff on the rear? I see others are already using with this kit- what is the maximum power/torque limit recommended on it ?

Re: The compact SUPERCHARGER for E-bike !

Almost double the energy density of my RSP-2000. I wonder how much louder the fans are at the same load? Also wonder if it is as easy to make the current limiting adjustable.

Good to see you're finally going for a man-sized battery :D Now you can join me on some 100km+ rides!

Reminder that MCA superstore down at Taren Point will fit those tyres for $20 (they've now done 2 for me - our axles fit on their machine).

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

This is true TV, but you got to factor in the diameter of the wheel from the 24MTB to the 19MC dependent on tire, can fluctuate up to 7/8 inch decrease OD on the 19. Based on my experience, I believe some of that loss that is occuring from the increased rotational mass is also being equaled out by ...

Who cares about shoulders? My eyes are uneven. I wonder whether my bike does big horse shits of weeds from other areas aro...

I'll give sigmacom a shout and get him to add his independent 2c worth. He owns a bomber and has ridden my raptor both on the street and on a trail ride recently we swapped bikes for a bit. The bomber in my mind IS an electric motorbike and it rides like one. The raptor, atleast mine, despite havin...

Re: high enegy density battries

My pack works out at 235Wh/kg using NCR18650B including the cell spacing, packaging etc:

http://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewto ... 14&t=61604

This is about as high as you can go right now. Note this cell is ONLY suited to large parallel designs (14P+) and cannot be fast charged.

Re: My Ebike Android App (supports Cycle Analyst)

Actually - looking at this today -it's not as easy as first thought. The problem with ending the gauge at whatever number the max power works out to be means that you end up with divisional numbers on the gauge that are strange looking eg if your max power is 4700W then 5 division on the gauge makes...

Re: My Stealth Bomber - now with 130km range

The battery cost just under $AU3000, but that is also higher due to the fact that I paid a professional battery supplier to do the spot welding.

Sorry, I think building this once was enough for me. It would not be viable to ship a battery this size from Australia anyway.

Re: Hyena's e-bike builds (now with HD video)

Interesting pic of the stators from those motors Jay. Apart from the better heatsinking ability of the TC its also a lot to do with just how efficient those TC motors are compared to the rest - as per the ebikes.ca simulator. That rattling sound from my Sony Actioncam in the video is a design fault ...
