Re: Accelerated Systems ASI BAC 4000 & BAC 8000 FOC BT Controllers

Are you for real? I would recommend you to look at the first post before asking what the voltage limit is. It's right there before your eyes. If you cannot find it then i think this controller isn't for you. :D Yeah the first post does say 90v. But the latest brochure from ASI says 72v 'nominal'; h...

Re: Accelerated Systems ASI BAC 4000 & BAC 8000 FOC BT Controllers

I've already seen 750amps battery amps at 60Vdc with an ASI BAC8000, that's 45kW I've read LFPs posts for years, and I've never caught him exaggerating. If he says he logged 45kW at 60V , then I believe him. Using that as a baseline for comparison, these controllers are rated to run up to 72V (20S?...

Adaptto BMS

Hey ES, I finally rebuilt my bike after it got left turned by an inattentive driver... but my BMS seems to have been damaged by the crash. Vector/Envolt are out of stock with no ETA on restock!

So, if anyone has an Adaptto BMS board they want to get rid of, please let me know and I'll buy it.

Re: BEAMts Torque Sensor...Figured it out!

I just put together an ebike with an EEB frame, Max-E, modded MXUS 3kw/4t, and a 420 cell 18650 battery pack (21s20p, 78v/58ah) and took it around the lot for the first time tonight. I'm using a half-twist throttle wired to the passthrough on the BeamTS unit, which is connected to my adaptto control...

Re: EM3EV selling Full sus frames

He said he'll be supply batteries eventually. Comes with a BB. Fatbike width. I've ordered a frame and borrowed Brake's spot welder for building up a pack into it. Planning on putting a 60-tooth and ~30 tooth twin rings on it with the smallest rear freewheel I can fit, 16t on my cro. No front derail...

Re: Brake's Phatrod Cruiser Build

Wow looks absolutely gorgeous. I might go for sheets over strips just for the sexy battery at the end! I have had no time at all to work on my bike but priority #1 is a new battery and then suspension! 18650's all the way! 14.2kw is crazy! Haven't hit that in ages now. Have you had the opp...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I dismantled a hall throttle and glued the magnet to the brake lever and glued the hall to the brake body. They can either move apart or come together and a single magnet will get you a 1.5V range over a 5mm travel distance which is more then enough to vary regen from 0-100% in the control settings...

Re: GCinDC's Giant DH Comp

I saw these just yesterday. $1000 retail or $500 if you pre-order. I'm seriously tempted but apparently they're not 100% at this point in time with their prototype. They claim they'll have it sorted by the time they're mass produced, which shouldn't be a drama, but it's still a bit of a gamble cons...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

On Profiles setup, Option ACC, remove the limit by holding left button until it shows --- this way you will have no limits during acceleration. Great Tip! Also 80A on phase? Isnt it very low? Your motor will rip better if you have more. Set it at least on 140 The issue I'm having here is my current...

+1 !
Hopefully this will be a part of the DC-DC converter they have in the works. If not, excellent firmware suggestion!

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

If you enclose your fan, heat sink assembly you will have a huge increase in cooling capacity just make sure both fans aren't pushing against each other, and the air is flowing freely from one side of the cooling tube to the other Good idea. I guess I could just use some plastic or something to duc...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I haven't used it much, but I think active mode only uses reverse thrust at low speed, while forced active uses reverse thrust instead of regen even at high speed. It should result in much more heat, unless I misunderstand how they work.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

It depends mainly on phase amps. also with active mode the motor gets alot hotter than without, but it safes brake pads 8) This is true, but it's worth mentioning that 5mph-->0mph results in very little wear versus 40 or 60mph --> 0mph! It's fun to eliminate wear on another part, though.

Yea this thread makes me want to start practicing on a skate board again. As a kid I used a skateboard to get around and worked quite well. Just been a long time. Same here! Except that I do live close enough to work that I could ride a board there, and say, enjoy a cigar on my way. Not to mention ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Hello, I know you should not put more than 98V through the Max-E. Does this mean that you cannot use a 24s battery and fully charged with each cell at 4.2V this is 100.8V. Thanks Correct, in fact I believe 20s is likely a better choice if you want to use full voltage. I'm planning on building my pa...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Is it possible to use a regular twist throttle to use for variable regen with the max-e? If it is how do I connect it exactly?
