Re: Speedict Ebike - Anybody seen/tried this?

We (coolermods) have a similar product coming out soon, that runs on the iphone/ipod. We are still working out the bugs, but have a video link to it on the product page:

Re: ATV tire Bike Build (Mid Drive Hub Motor)

Had some chain tension issues, so had to re-design a few parts. Blew it all out tonight. Now the chain adjusts motorcycle style where the rear wheel sits in slots and can slide back and forth. The sprocket i used on the tensioner is now in a perminant spot, used as a idler to keep chain in a positio...

Re: ATV tire Bike Build (Mid Drive Hub Motor)

Took it out for the first real ride tonight. Top speed wound up being right where i wanted it, about 35 mph. Power was amazing, but, as i figured, with such a large motor and ATV tires my watt hours will suffer. I was seeing about 78 wh/mi, but I was ridding hard....a lot of wide open riding --John

Re: BMC brushless 1500 watt motor from superkids

I ordered just the motor. Actually have 2 of them now....just installed one in a friends machine. Power is nice and smooth, but you need to remember its a high-rpm motor....at low rpm it has no power compared to a Unite 1000 watt for example. That said, for the money your much better with the Unite ...

Love it -). Seems like this time It worked out. (The 1000 gals of fuel is mainly for my telcom facility). We were the only facility online for the whole 7 day power outage. We about doubled our business, and was able to led fuel to locals in need. This time I have the last laugh -). Im not building ...

Re: ATV tire Bike Build (Mid Drive Hub Motor)

I think it comes down to this. You want what you want. You make it the way you want. Maybe you want big tires, maybe you want 150V pack. By building it yourself its your creation. That said, ive had several customers pay us thousands on custom builds of our small vehicles. Really there is nothing li...

Re: Sandy shows vulnerability of electric vehicles

Actually just the opposite! You couldnt get gas, my electric vehicles were the only ones running! I was charging them off my generator which I had to run anyways. I tried to help as many people as possible in this, but in a way it felt good to be right. I keep 1000 gals of diesel for my generator he...

Re: Chopper bike with 93% eff motor

Too bad theres no liquid cooling, i hope we see that in more motors. The golden has an option for liquid, i didnt go for it, but seems like a lot of motors would work a lot better with liquid cooling.

Re: Kelly Controller or hall issue or?

Yea, i can hear a small click right when it happens, as if its an auto reset breaker. Not really concerned since the normal kelly for the bike will be here in a few days, but curious. The real question here is can you run a large brushless motor with a little controller (and oveously get lower perfo...

That motor john in cr is selling looks awesome. I was going to get one for my project, but decided i wanted rediculous power and went with the golden 5000 watt motor. Man, i start the prototype for coolermods using pedals basiclly "for show" so it can be ridden everywhere, then this machine surfaces. I wonder though, if too many manufacturers go this route we may get stricter laws. I mean heck. Why don't I get a R1 street bike, put pedals on it and ride it down t...
