For touring , long distance, large load carrying capacity , and comfort that you will want for all that you want to do ... See if that welder can make you a custom steel/croMoly , very long wheelbase, single pivot in the rear , full suspension cargo/touring bike. Look at the Yuba Mundo, now take tha...

Re: Casual Commuter Recommendations

I do not know about the motor kit. From everything I have read , those cheep e-bay and aliexpress batteries are the very cheep and low quality cells , so they would not be useful for long term and/to get the rated life out of them , they would work best for 250 watt motors where the total amp draw f...

Are there any IS2000 to Post Mount adapters which are slightly thinner? Maybe around 10mm thick?

Birmingham Alabama , or England ? I would pick a Befang BBS02 , over , a Haibike However I would pick a one year old Specialized Levo over both the BBS02/Haibike . As is the case with all used bikes , get one from someone who bought one and did not ride it much , one that sat in the garage most of t...

With a $ 500 Budget you will not get the parts you need . Increase your Budget , Pull out the Credit Card and prepare for $ 800- $ 1200 You will be happier in the long run when you spend more like $ 1,000 or more on the Electronic Parts and Battery. A New Credit Card with low interest rates or no in...

How long did it take from the day you placed the order , until it arrived at your door ? How long and wide is that 15 fet controller ? People with linkage bikes like yours will have modify the mounting plates. It would be good for GNG to ship this motor with mounting plates that only are 5-6 mm bigg...

Water Cooled Motor

Could a a motor like this be the future of small fast turning motors ?

The one drawback I see with this one is that even the lower KV setting is way too fast of a KV for E-Bikes/E-Trikes .

Barent , The hub looks to be a 36 spoke hole motor ? I would like to see how the wiring looks up against the inside drop out. ( I have hubs that have the wires coming out of the end of the axle, so I like the idea of it coming out on the inside of the drop out ) What controller and cost of it that a...

Baron, So you are using a 16s instead of a 20s battery pack now ? Going up any steep hills where you live ? What kind of speeds are you getting up to on flat ground ? This motor is awesome, I have a 4T laced in a 17" moto wheel and it power wheelies my Kona Stinky at 72V 50A. Way more power than I n...

Have you already order that 250 watt motor ? I have one of those, I had a Mac , and now a DD rear hub. You will be better off with a motor like a Mac . ( or the equivalent that Grin Has ) With that and the C.A. V 3 you can stay within all legal limits . Just adjust the power down to where you want i...

You say they can handle up to 75 volts ? , if they can handle up to 75 volts then by theory I could use 18s as long as I only charge my 6 s packs , x 3 , up to 4.1 volt per cell . Which is easy do do since I use lipo's and lipo charger that is adjustable . Besides When I have charged two sets of pac...

The 328 one only if you are a very fit strong leg rider , the 328 does not do well when riding into a strong headwind so keep that in mind. When going up hills , especially with a 328 version keep the speed up to at least 20 kph, better to keep it 24 kph or higher, so you better have strong legs and...

Keep checking Craigslist , it might go up for sale. Once the person who finds it sees it needs a battery they might try to get rid of it somehow. I have been slowly building up the bike , and now ran into a problem The MXUS XF-40 DD rear hub had a plastic spacer on the disc brake mounting area of the hub, there probably because of the fact that the hub motor housing on the disc brake side protudes outwards so as to be in the way of a disc cal...
