Re: Q100H / 20A Sine Controller - Speed Sensor stopped working, display not registering MPH

There are different blue and green wires for different parts of the system For instance For a 3 speed switch, or Hall Sensor Wires or ? Can you take some pictures and show which blue and green wires and where they connect to ? I do not have the answer , but once you say and show exactly which blue a...

Re: Info on this Lyen controller ?

The only thing I found on youtube for shunt values , uses a Ammeter and then only cheep one with needle . I would have to find a digital Ammeter, and then ... I am guessing connect the controller to battery and motor, put bike up on stand, take off cover of controller , run motor then measure ... ho...

Re: Info on this Lyen controller ?

You say they can handle up to 75 volts ? , if they can handle up to 75 volts then by theory I could use 18s as long as I only charge my 6 s packs , x 3 , up to 4.1 volt per cell . Which is easy do do since I use lipo's and lipo charger that is adjustable . Besides When I have charged two sets of pac...

Re: Info on this Lyen controller ?

Thanks, from what I have read here on E.S. Edward Lyen is hard to get in touch with . Perhaps because he no longer sells the controllers ? Good to know about the 3077's tolerating up to 16 s but not 20 s I have some 6s batteries so wonder if the 3077's will tolerate 18s ? Calibrate shunt with a mete...

Re: Any other bicycle discount stores online, besides Chain Reaction Cycle?

CRC sold the older Shimano products, that is why they could get it cheaper than a bike shop could get the current stuff. I have talked with bike shops about this and they have frustration with customers not knowing that most of what is sold at a good discount from CRC and /or other mail order places...

Info on this Lyen controller ?

I have had a couple of controllers in storage for a couple of years now. One is a Lyen 9 fet with 3077 fets . However I did not buy this controller from Lyen, and do not know how to contact him. Before I hook this up to a battery pack . ( I want to use 16s pack or even 21S Pack ) I better get some i...

Re: Modifying a DD hub motor.

Well the Rains finally stopped a couple of days ago so I finally got to try out a DD rear hub for the first time. Not bad , I see why people like these , it was very smooth and quiet . However it started to struggle on a shallow 4% hill and almost quit on 5 % to 10 % when I got to 10-11 % section of...

Re: Any other bicycle discount stores online, besides Chain Reaction Cycle?

I have been buying from Jensonusa.com for about 30 years now . ( I bought from the owner of Jensonusa when he only had a warehouse and only sold parts person to person , long before he got into the internet sales game. As of about a month or month and half ago Chain Reaction Cycles no longer sells S...

High Amp RC controllers ? Many here would like to see some links to some higher amp controllers that would work with the X1 Pro. Re: q100 week and strange sound

The 328 one only if you are a very fit strong leg rider , the 328 does not do well when riding into a strong headwind so keep that in mind. When going up hills , especially with a 328 version keep the speed up to at least 20 kph, better to keep it 24 kph or higher, so you better have strong legs and...

Keep checking Craigslist , it might go up for sale. Once the person who finds it sees it needs a battery they might try to get rid of it somehow. Call the Police in those areas and see if they can take a lost or possible stolen , report over the phone. ( I has something stolen off my bike last week ...

Re: Modifying a DD hub motor.

I have been slowly building up the bike , and now ran into a problem The MXUS XF-40 DD rear hub had a plastic spacer on the disc brake mounting area of the hub, there probably because of the fact that the hub motor housing on the disc brake side protudes outwards so as to be in the way of a disc cal...

This new version is worthy of it's own thread. ( the last 5 posts now ...

My Rear has tighten so much it will only be opened up when I can make a tool. styczoo, one of the two tools linked to by motomech is what you will probably need. Once a rear motor has been used, the force of the cassette/free wheel tightens the cover too much. Then a tool like this one must be used;...

You can buy a split ring PAS Sensor, However the shipping costs are very expensive, try to find one that is sold here in the U.S. https://bmsbattery.com/pas/837-16936-dual-hall-sensor-d12-signals-easy-installation-pas.html#/437-assemble-left Also Bike shops have experience with cutting off old and r...

If it is too difficult to replace all the hall sensors then you can just buy a bare hub motor , the same motor you have but without the wheel , and just switch out the core of the motor.
