Re: Electrom1 Long Wheelbase Recumbent Light Electric Vehicle

I have been watching to see if there are any updates in the last 2 months. are there any ? When do you think you will have a rolling chassis for sale with wheels wind screen etc. ? What does it weigh without the motor and batteries and controller ? Not sure if you plan on selling a complete bike , o...

Re: How to find out the Shunt Value on a Controller ?

I did not see it on ebikes.ca , I did e-mail them a few days ago but they have not gotten back to me yet, I understand they are always busy . So / means divided by ? in other words Dived the Volts by the amps ? , so if I have 10 amps I would divide the volts by 10 amps ? It is so much easier in the ...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

1) Looks like the controller is not working as it should, don't know if the factory that makes the controller for GNG made a mistake on programming , or , if the Fets / Caps / and or Shunts are not good enough for a Real 72 volt controller . A real 72 volt controller should have at least 90v or 100 ...

How to find out the Shunt Value on a Controller ?

Has anyone one used a regular hobby lipo charger to find out the shunt value on a controller ? ( I found a you tube video from someone who used a iCharger that has a 10 amp Foam Cutting feature , however , none of my DC to DC chargers have this foam cutting feature ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: How do I convert a 48v 30amp 9 fet 3977 controller to 72v 40 amps

I will have to check to see if those cheep $ 40 controllers have the C.A. plug. I had a chance to buy one but it did not have the C.A. plug so did not buy it, I have no idea at this time how to make a C.A. work with a controller that does not have a CA plug. Shipping from Grin to me is at least $ 12...

Re: CHIME IN: NEED SUGGESTIONS TO AVOID MELTDOWN!!!

From What it looks like in the picture it has a white protective cover over the wires , and under that it looks like they have a wire that spirals around the main wires , It looks like they are the only two parts that touch the rotor bolts , not the main wires. Cut back an inch or so of that white c...

How do I convert a 48v 30amp 9 fet 3977 controller to 72v 40 amps

I have a Lyen Controller 9 fet 3077 mosfets , from what I can see on the outside it is exactly like the controllers vendors like eM3ev.com and others , sell that list them at 48 volt 30 amp controllers. How do / Can I exchange a couple of parts inside to make it work on 36-72 volt and 40 amps ? High...

The items I listed can look like bicycle gear in the following ways. First There are Long Finger Gloves that Down Hill Riders use, they look...

Re: I finished my First Bike/Hub Motor Conversion. scooterman101

ozzzz , Thanks it was a real nice ride , I had the hall sensors replaced on the motor and at the same time the person who did it put larger phase wires on it a real tight fit for the wires going into the axle after that mod. I sold it many months ago , during the rainy season to a local person who s...

Re: hub motor options for tires with stub axles?

I am not sure what quad you have ( You should post make and model ) so I do not know how the rear wheels are driven with the chain, But with a Guess , the best system for you would probably be a " Stoke Monkey " system from Grin. That would also allow you to use gears , helpful if you live anywhere ...

Re: Full suspension tadpole trike pulling a bob trailer?

All the tadpole designs I have seen have what is called a " Unified Rear Triangle " , and with that kind of design the pivot points are well ahead of the axle .
So
The Rear seat and chain stays will flex a little, and thereby put less torque on the pivots than a Horst LInk Design.

Also the putty/epoxy that Jackson flicked off with his finger that was put on to balance it is a Big Problem. I laughed when Eric was confused about the price, early in the video he was hinting that it was not worth $ 600 , then one of his crew clicked on the GNG website and showed it is $ 800 which got Eric even more disappointed in it. Eric , it was $ 600, $ 638 give or take a couple of U.S. dollars, but ...

Excellent, When you get time after you get it ready for market , designing and installing outrigger wheels that deploy when coming to a stop so that you do not have to put your feet down would / will be a good option to buy . that way you can install some sides and a top for the fall/winter/spring w...
