Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Matt_92 548 Euro"s , or more is like what I was thinking it would at least cost with a reduction . I did not see a listing of the cost of a controller , Vesc's are 100 and more Euro's each So now it is really 650-700 Euro's , still good as the one's I would like to buy , that are made here on the We...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Ecyclist, I agree that for simplicity and low cost the Hub Motor is the best for most people, ( I have a 6T Mac Rear Motor that runs great at up to 25 mph / 42 kph , and it will go up hills up to around 8 % grade, but it prefers only up to around 5 % grades ) it will go 50 kph , but to make it go th...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Matt_92 I see a picture in one of your posts of a full suspension bike that is single pivot , with the swing arm going up and over the crankset/chainrings. it looks much like the Santa Cruz Bantam / Butcher / Bullit / Superlight, and other Bikes that have the same design. Re: Motorcycle starter battery

I agree, I am still using the old SLA battery on my Motorcycle because of those reasons. It would be nice to have the Motorcycle Crank up much faster on each cold start. It drives me nuts that lithium motorcycle starting batteries are just overpriced lipo. I wish a company would develop a bms for th...

Re: any thoughts on this ritchey for mid-drive upgrade?

I would contact Ritchey by e-mail and ask them what is the largest chainring that can be used on the crankset that will still clear the frame. ( I am finding the problem of not enough clearance for a large chainring on most every mountain bike I research, let me know if you want to use a Full Suspen...

Re: Light and good quality brushless RC motor

I am patiently waiting ( trying to be patient ) for a few people here in the U.S. to develop newer RC drive systems for bicycles. With the research I have done on motors , People in the RC Hobby industry seem to talk highly of the KDE Direct motors, they say that it is one of the best motors on the ...

Wonder what the Ft Lbs of drag is on a RC mid drive motor system ? Anyone who reads this thread that has a RC mid drive , ( Tangent, or a LightningRod's mid-drive system , etc ) how much drag do you have with your system ? Ours had about 8-10 ft lbs of drag out of the box. Pulled the case & seal off...

Make yourself a " Battery Bunker " If always kept outside and charged outside, old large non working propane BBQ that is 15 or more feet away from anything else could work . When I said " Interesting " , I mean interesting that they would design the rear triangle like they did, some bike Mfg's with that type of suspension design, or even hard tail bikes, have a thinner block of metal from the Bottom Bracket back , then when enough distance is made for the crank and chai...

That's interesting , do they offer 160 mm crank arms ?

Do you think a 160 mm crank arm will work ?, 160 mm arms are available .

How long is the spindle ? ( measure the width ) it is probably a 73 mm wide BB frame, so you can fit a 73 x 107mm on up to a 73 x 122.5 mm wide spindle Shimano BB Here is a link. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/en/shimano-un55-square-taper-bottom-bracket/rp-prod71369 Perhaps there are other se...

ElectricGod, By the time you add the cost and mark up of those suspension parts, to the kind of trike you are trying to sell it is just not worth it. You and Anyone who wants a high speed trike is better off to just buy a frame kit has has been designed in the first place for the higher speeds and h...

Re: Metal 3D Printed RC Friction Drive - Development / Build Log

Thinking about it more , For a Road Bike connecting to a seat post would be a bad idea, way to much aerodynamic drag. for a slower and not aerodynamic bike like a city bike or cruiser it might be better, but then the space for a rear rack and/or seat bag would not be possible. I think the two best o...

500 g is a little over a pound, that is a huge weight savings when talking about just one/two piece component of a bike. I thought Shimano and the rest went with bearings on the outside of the BB shell were making improvements as well with having the bearing load wider than Square taper BB's and ISI...

If you want a scooter that can be legal for the Road, you might have to find a used one with a plate on it. For Example A few years ago there were a number of people here in California who thought they would make a ton of money by importing those type of scooters, the mark up was so high that they t...

What is the KV of the Astro 3220 that you are using ? What do you then divide again by to convert a 27.5 inch wheel and a 29 inch wheel RPM into MPH ? Fancy graphics, very helpful actually. The 3220 unit will turn the crankset at 350-375RPM under load. Multiply that by your front chainring count, th...
