Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

I think for a boat you should consider water cooled motors anyway. I am also pondering to replace my vw diesel on my sail boat with a electric motor. But would definetly use something like 72v. But that would be another thread... I know but i want to know whether QS motors is able make the 205 car ...

Simply use a higher system voltage like 72V, 84V or 96V.
Not a option due to the risk with high voltages on a boat in the water and the additional regulation requiring double isolation etc...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

I am interested in using a car hub motor as a direct drive replacement for a diesel engine in a boat/yacht. The high torque and low rpm are the main advantage of using a hub motor instead of a regular brushless motor. I am looking for a hub motor which is faster and has a bit less torque then as it ...

Currently I have 25 unwinded c80100 still for sale & 2 c80100 winded 130KV 11 c80100 unwinded and perfect 14 c80100 unwinded, but have a small dent/chip on the stator caused by bad packaging during transport from China to the Netherlands, these are easy to bend and fix using thickened epoxy 02 c8010...

30x Turnigy c80100 unwinded for sale

The c80100 are nowadays not manufactured anymore. I purchased 30x c80100 last year directly from the manufacturer as a first production batch for my own designed electric outboard motor. I rewinded these motors myself to 60KV and they work great, but are very time consuming to rewind. The motors are...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

tdejong: What size of outboard have you converted? What specs are you trying to match? I have this motor; currently at stock wind with upgraded hardened steel shaft. I am doing a conversion as well and I am curious at what to expect and if I will need to alter my winding...Why did you decide to go ...

Getting close to wind day :), just finished a schematic, need you guys to double check it so i don't make any errors when i start. a really nice drawing, much better then my pencil drawings. I compared your drawing with these and i also checked it using the righthand-grip rule and i think it is cor...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

I rewind my motor from the middle of the phase, so i measure the total length first, take it double and start with teeth 2 first, then 1 and then the opposite site in the same way. I understand if you rewind with only one copper wire, you might want to start from the phase end like you describe. I h...

http://www.dolpin.nl/pictures/drlk_wye_12p_altn_sml.jpg This is the same wiring diagram as the one posted by dr_frost_dk, and is an alternative to the one i previously posted. Both diagrams will work ! I think i like this one better, because the wires connecting the opposite pole-pairs are nicely d...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

I just have altered my rewind C80100 used t1, t3, E2 as starpoint, and E1, E3, t2 as the motor connection. And the motor is working perfect, i measured a KV of 62 and a no-load current of 3A (with the load of a gear reduction and propellor in air) To me the diagram is definitely wrong! The motor wil...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

http://www.endless-sphere.com/forums/download/file.php?id=93573 I just rewind my C80100 using this diagram in wye star configuration, where t1,t2,t3 are connected together and E1-3 are connected to the controller. After the rewinding i measured a wrong KV rating, using an open-load/max rpm method, ...

Re: Re-wind of a turnigy 80/100 (Now-tutorial w/Video)

I read this topic with much interest. i recently rewind a C80100 130kv motor to be used as a direct drive outboard motor. My goal was to rewind this motor to 60kv and aiming for a low copper loss. I managed to rewind the C80100 with 4x1mm (18AWG) strands in a 10 turn WYE DRLK configuration, which is...
