Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Thanks for the link! Exactly what I was looking for. I will start at those settings. Motomoto recommended 70psi on the bottom and 40 up top.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

My fastace suspension is sucking. Bottoms out now. I'm a total newb at it. What are the recommended settings for someone around 190lbs? Seems like I am getting way too much sag. If I pump the top chamber to 75 psi, I only get two inches of travel. I have rebound set up to middle and the bottom right...

Re: New electric foilboard

I try again with a number of different props and an old 6s boat ESC. The props fly off or break and nothing seems to work. Meanwhile, the weather gets cold and I don't have another setup to try before I am done for the season. I buy as Christmas presents to myself the missing gearbox for the SSS mot...

New electric foilboard

I know most forum users ran off to the efoil.builders website, but for the truly faithful ES members, here's my repost from there. ES is where my gratitude belongs. I wanted to do a write up for myself and posterity on my own foil adventure. Most of it will be me rambling on about other electric pro...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Comparing an mx snowbike to the sur-ron is absurd. They weigh about half as much. I think it depends on how deep the snow is. An electric snowbike will happen sooner than later. To a point you get the weight and torque advantage with electrics. I bet the Alta motor bike would manage as it currently ...

Re: Adding battery capacity to EV

Another pack weighs 450 lbs. That's only two Americans in the back seat. The new 33kwh pack weighs only 150 pounds more than the older 24kwh. I'm more concerned with charging or controller not recognizing the battery. Seems simple coming from doing this all the time with bikes. Even over volting. Wi...

Adding battery capacity to EV

This may be a dumb question or already discussed, so bear with me. Is it possible to just stack two batteries in parallel in an EV like the Leaf or Focus Electric. I haven't read about anyone doing this. Coming from Ebikes, that is an easy option to get more range. Why can't I just add two leaf batt...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Alta motors dnfd because he got lost in the trees. Took a wrong turn. They would have made the swap if not. Gassers have to pit too to refill. It's a 30km brutal race. I watched the video. They actually were in the top for a while. Normally only 30 riders finish anyway. It was there rider's first ti...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I know it sucks to have bad customer support. Been there too many times myself. Just bought a quadcopter with a broken motor. Support gave me $20 back. I still get to spend that much to replace the motor and waiting a week or two for the part. Then I get the privilege of fixings it myself. I buy too...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

That's a nice mount Minimum. What I have always wondered about the Cyclone kit. If they just made a better mount, the kit would be super solid. There is too much messing with doing the nut mod. I'm no machinist and would rather be out for a ride. You could sell a ton of mounts if you didn't cut into...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Got new bars installed. I went with the Answer protaper 810 with 3" rise. Now the bike is perfect for me. Only issue, was I pulled a wire putting on the brakes. I am unaware of how the electric brakes work on this. I noticed that the grub screws weren't tightened all the way on the brake wires. The ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I bought my bike from Luna, had good communication will them. Just wish they wouldn't have posted this to tempt me. This bike is easy to customize and upgrade, the performance upgrades are limitless from the battery to the controller. We think this motor can handle easily 12,000 watts with a FOV sin...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I took the Light bee down to Moab this past weekend. What a blast! Rode the slickrock trail with my son, while he was a trooper and pedaled the whole thing. I worried that rock crawling might be really hard on the bike, as it is on and off full torque. Most of them are short climbs, but they are str...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Thanks Alex! Just thought from your video that the killah looks much lighter and nimble than the fastace which I have. I haven't had any complaints on the fastace, rides like mx shock not a mtb. Just is much heavier. I am 190 lbs. So I need that extra bit, especially at high speeds. Probably only a ...

Re: Kuberg Freerider Extended Swingarm Project

I'm not here to fight as I know what you've done with your bikes Skeetab, but it is ironic you post a video saying the bike doesn't climb well and the headline of that video says: All that single track stuff, you get the point. This is a serious hill. I know of no other ebike that has made it up. Wh...

Re: Kuberg Freerider Extended Swingarm Project

Are you finally liking that throttle? I thought you'd switched it out.
The Sur-ron goes great uphill and really isn't that loud - about like my cyclone. They have a larger sprocket that will make it even better for hills, but slower top-end. Which video did you watch?

Re: Kuberg Free Rider

I'm slowly getting over the lipo. Too many dead cells and having to spend time charging. Bad cells are mostly from my neglect which is fine, but the time to charge isn't. Ultimately I think I'd come out ahead by sucking up the costs up front. I ride my fat bike that handles horribly much more than I...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike from China

Finally saw the Luna Cycle pedal kit. Looks better than what was out there before. Kind of like what I envisioned with the pedal sprocket just touching the chain. More of a compliance thing than anything functional. I actually already got busted on my bike from a *itch *ss cop who had nothing better...
