Re: qs 1000w builds

seems pretty happy with 8:1 reduction at 60v. I'll report more once I stop the 219 chain from constantly falling off. Currently at 3500w no problem

Re: 60 volt vs 72 volt

I progressed in a similar way. Upping the voltage is the easiest way to increase power(and top speed). Went to 72v until I melted my motor, bought bigger motor, then bigger battery, better frame, etc. So yeah go to 72v and have fun.....

Re: Do you have or plan to start an ebike business?

I'm working on a 5kw middrive offroad machine that weighs 60lb that I can pedal home when it breaks down. Most people tell me to get a dirt bike or just give me blank stares. I'm surrounded by USFS land that just opened up to class 1, but once you're accustomed to high power how can you be happy a 7...

Re: Lost Sierra Races 2019, July 12-14

Thanks for the kind words Eli, I'll gladly take the compliment but I was running the hubbie at 6kw, so I think we were roughly the same power? I have no drive train and it has been trouble free for thousands of miles. It has been time-proven by many on this forum, I just copied the formula that I le...

no idea but btwn Luna and HPC this is going to be a chest puffing geek fest that you don't want to miss. I hope you make it Paul I'd like to check out your middrive. Not sure how many people attending post here but they've all gained knowledge from this site and pretty sure the event wouldn't exist ...

Re: Lost Sierra Races 2019, July 12-14

I've not noticed too many bugs in the past, but I usually have a nice layer of dust all over after my first practice lap that last the entire weekend. It's going to be hot, I usually feel like I'm melting most of the day. Bring lots of water and make sure you keep your batteries in the shade...See y...

pretty sure the motor acts like a boost converter so you can have any voltage you want on the supply side. Does it act like a buck converter though? Can you supply voltage be higher than pack voltage? Thanks you all your help guys. I guess I'm the first idiot to get a hold of one of these controller...

Re: Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

Thanks! I was thinking I was in mode 1, but when I toggle to it and try to change it, it won't let me. The wiki says it defaults to mode 2 without a switch but yes it is clearly in mode 1. So do I need to connect a switch to change it from mode 1 to 2? FOC is new and scary, is it as simple as changi...
