I've tried this with an old-fashioned crt 'scope :- ..this gave a 'rough' result for my (Q128H) motor of about 150 degrees. Great, so you have the same controller. Please test the low P1 value so you get much higher speed reading than reality, and see if it will go up to 72 or more like 35-42 while not full rpm at motor. @geofft you can test by setting P1 at like 20 so display shows 42 and you get walking speed and no way to go faster if I am right. btw whats your board model number (like KTE-SVP5-A..) Didn't realise that the P1 setting was still active - my setting for this was 211 (16 magnets x 13.2 gear ratio). ...

@Casainho - edited config.h does not change it. I am far from hiting max erps, as I explained, I get 37km on display while set 72. Motor rpm is changing by P1 but still limits to about 37 on display @Geofft - can you try the 100% throttle? Always 100% throttle works ok for me, after I requested it ...

My estimate here is not scientific, the power maximum the motor draws (indicated on display) with the stock firmware is 800w, but the new firmware is showing 1150w. I can do some better tests with an ammeter in the battery supply if you prefer..? That would be great, if you can confirm with an exte...

I'm beginning to think that life would be easier for everybody if you had separate firmware branches for the geared and direct drive motors...? The thing is that I don't if there are diferencies... What would be different?? Was just thinking that changes made for one type may have negative effects ...

Guys, I'll hold back on any further testing until you've got honya's issues sorted.

The motor wattmeter is improved but still reads about 30% high (was 100%+ high previously). Damping is also improved, now takes maybe 5secs to reach zero after a motor cut, maybe should be slightly less, not a big deal. Please be more detailed in on your explanations. You mention ramp up and PAS and some value of 5, it doesn't make sense. You need to say which values for which option variable. The biggest problems I saw allready on table is the pwm rampup and down set to 25 and also if set to 2 takes like 5 seconds atleast to get to full speed or down to zero. Despite dreary weather in the UK got a test ride in earlier today, made a few config changes and the bike now rides in the way I like and very smoothly. Pas and throttle both good, just a couple of details with motor wattmeter and battery indicator to mention. Motor wattmeter now powers up properly ...

I found another way to calculate FOC_READ_ID_CURRENT_ANGLE_ADJUST. I measured with my Q85 and Q11 motors and the values are really different: - Q85: 143 - Q11: 114 The value measured with my Q85 gave near results by the vale I measured using the other process: 137 VS 143. Just been out for a short test ride and have to say that the firmware is working really sweetly now, a credit to you guys. Still one or two details to tidy up but the major stuff all works well.
I don't have much time for this today but will ride some more and feedback later this week.
