Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Much quieter after the service thats for sure but the problem still remains, when I stand on the pedal and use excessive force the crank slips forward about an inch with clack, clack, clack sound.. Definitely internal and not chain slipping. Either the large clutch bearing or the brass gear is pulli...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So with the 48v it does overheat and slow down from whay my friend told me. I have the 36v and have done many long hills without slow down or overheating. As for cutting out i would tend to look at the battery. After it cuts out dont charge but tale the battery off and check cell voltages. I added a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thanks speedy just did a service on the other side of the motor and only thing i could find was the 22mm bearing in the housing had a lot of play. Anyone know how to get it out and what it is ? IMG_20180112_31219.jpg Checked the splines like you said and they all appear to be fine IMG_20180112_1492....

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

A throttle can be connected to the TDSZ2. But not all version can run with a throttle. There is a specific controller and display needed. Not certainly in that way. I have a kit without the throttle support 6 pins. I added 2 wires from the controller to the display, + 5V and the input signal from t...

Re: Badass e-Bike Speed Tuning Dongle

Tom L. .. Sounds pretty easy.. not sure why everyone is charging 140 euro for these things ? I will probably wait till mine runs out of warranty. I think Bosch gives 2 years on the motor. I bet it would cost a fortune to repair if something went wrong and they could prove you had a tuning chip of s...

Re: Badass e-Bike Speed Tuning Dongle

Sorry didn’t realise this topic was regarding Badass.. oops and ignore my rant about the 25km limit on ebikes, realised that aus are just following the eu system and it will be impossible to change the laws now even if they wanted to, the ramifications would be too great especially for all the exist...

Re: Badass e-Bike Speed Tuning Dongle

If you get pulled over doing some insane speed then i don't think they will care that you have disabled your dongle which by the way doesnt look too easy with the badass. . and not too sure what the dongle is doing to the motor in the long term since the software was designed to provide a certain am...

My thoughts were makin one myself too but seriously why can’t we just flash the u.s. firmware on our bikes that way motor is not compromised and works as it was designed ?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Has anyone experienced any slipping of the gears under sudden high load
I have the brass gear fitted for more than 1000km, total 2500km on the bike
Feels like chain slipping but I’m sure it’s internal.
Could it be that grease has worked its way into the clutch ?

Re: New "SDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I Think it drives very nice! The power from the motor only starts when you push the pedal. But you don't have to push very hard. In turbo mode you can pedal quite leisurely and still have power. There seem to be a hidden menu in the controller where you can remove the speed limit and also boost amp...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Does anyone have any ideas? Is the clicking etc occurring with every rotation of the pedals? If so, I’d check the fit and tighten the motor attachment bolts, then run it for 50+ miles. That’s what I’ve done with several motors, successfully. Eventually they all became silent. The motors have severa...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Each to their own, I really like it for off road but hate it for commuting Here is a lttle teaser of my ride a couple of weeks ago. Both bikes were using TSDZ2's. We rode the Epic trail to Mt. Sterling then cut back to telephone junction and mirimbah. It was trully epic ! The motors handled the roug...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I feed 19 amps now, so a bit of a decrease from the 350W 36V original, which starts at 20 amps. Since I almost always keep it in level 2, that seems safe. Level 3 and 4 are not as natural. The difference is mostly about power assistance when pedaling lightly, while top power remains about the same....

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

So I know my 36v is very perky when its fully charged but gets very lazy quickly. Im running 10S (42v max) but would really love to run 11s (46.2v) which would give it a bit of lift all through the battery level.... except for the high voltage cutoff in the controller. Anyway to up the HVC a little ...

Re: SOLVED! Infineon Cutting out Question

Realise that this is an old thread but my Infenion 12 fet is cutting out too. It will mainly cut randomly but almost always on very low throttle like coasting downhill then applying a little bit of throttle. It wont cut out if I ride like a maniac at full/high throttle Im running 84v Max (20s lipo) ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Sorry false alarm guys the motor still rocks !! The first noise was just the chain dragging over the rear derailleur, it wasn't threaded through properly and for some reason decided to let me know about a week later. The second noise was my motor pushing up against the frame, sorted that out by addi...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Guys just finished posting my video on how good this motor is and on my way back home today I started getting some interesting sounds out of my motor. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

yes it is standard pattern but you really need to watch the chain line. The one that comes with the motor has an offset inwards. Very hard to find chain rings with offsets. You may be able to get away with it but may not be able to use the granny gear !

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I ordered my battery locally from SamD (thanks Sam), motor was from pswpower. Didnt want to risk buying a battery from overseas just in case it got caught up in customs somewhere. I got the 350 with the VLCD5 display. In the hidden menu on this display it lets you bump up the Amps. Default is 16Amp....

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Had the motor for a few weeks now and really loving it for e-mountain bike riding. Using the standard 42t on front fitted with derailleur to stop chain falling off and 12-36t 9 speed rear but even on steep climbs haven't needed to use the 36t yet. Only using level 2 assist for most of my off-road ri...

Re: Bms cutting out in rain

Just in case anyone is interested this plastic bag did the trick today in the rain. No cutout might have this thing licked
I thought with the em3ev throttle being popular that others may have come on that have the same issue?

Anyway be careful that when you cover the throttle that it is dry first
