Re: Persecuting E-Bikes in New York City
What I find is that they mostly go after the typical delivery guy ebike. I don't think they bother with the super ebikes. It seems that right now there are more ebikes in Manhattan than ever before. I notice them everywhere but they are not a problem as they stay in the streets. I wonder how they e...

Re: Yz-EEB *5000w, 50mph, mx style*
Looks great! I thought NYC cops hated ebikes and were confiscating them until the law recently changed. They were targeting poor food delivery riders. That's a pretty cool spin on the EEB style frame. That is a monster of a battery pack! I like seeing different cells. 8) Appreciate all your comment...

10min straight highway run 50mph+ The ONLY setup i woud feel comfortable doing this with! Heavy hub and heavy bike with huge battery means stability and reliability. Absolutely NO room for mechanical parts to fail or electric parts to struggle and overload on an NYC highway! https://www.instagram.co...

Re: Full suspension low diameter hub build
Wow, you didn't even have to modify the swingarm.. Kinda jealous. I haven't been able to find a frame that's compatible ( with some modification ) with 20" wheels AND is an extra large size. What's your top speed these days? ever find the limit of that motor? :) Sad to say this bike was involved in...

Havent updated in a while.. Heres before I swapped the panels out for Vector side panels.. https://preview.ibb.co/fExFOL/20181029-111245.jpg And after. Note the side panels do not fit straight away, they have to be modified to fit. https://preview.ibb.co/hOpjHf/20181101-194225.jpg Made a 72v 53ah ba...

2x nes-350-27 meanwells in series set to 29v for a simple 58v12a charger. How do you like the Mean Well NES psu's? Did they come out of the box already ground isolated or did you modify it so it was isolated? How are they holding up? Have they taken many falls and survived? mcintyretj has the NES m...

Re: Boston Swing 5300 mAh and cell holders. Free shipping 20 battery U.S. Only
They definitely do perform right to spec as expected! A few pic of my soldering process. All it took was to create a tiny gap between the nickel strip welded on the positive side and the actual aluminum casing of the battery. A razor blade was perfect for this. It actually made soldering the positiv...

Took a dive and ordered 200 cells from headrc. Paid through PayPal, and he shipped the batteries promptly. 2 days later these are sitting on my desk: https://thumb.ibb.co/fSmVT9/20180810_170357.jpg https://thumb.ibb.co/dRdzMU/20180810_170351.jpg 7 packs of 28 cells neatly packaged, plus 4 on the sid...

Thanks, well once most people catch a glimpse of me, they're usually amazed at the sight of what seems to be a dirt bike not making a single sound... when I slow down and they notice the pedals it completely throws them off. If it wasnt for the pedals id probably have a better chance at being harass...

Re: Search for dirtbike-fenders (Vector, Stealth, Qulbix)
I wanted the same for my EEB, and no fender could satisfy my liking. I decided to just go straight for a full dirt bike body kit. Took some time to fabricate it to fit but it was worth it. It's a yz85 kit which has smaller wheels but wound up working perfectly as the EEB is around the same wheelbase...

My EEB frame started out as a regular 1000w 30mph bike... https://image.ibb.co/gxKykS/20180327_233751.jpg The most I could do is 72v 1500w (more like 2500w @ 72v40a) getting me ~41mph and a motor that gets barely too hot after a heavy throttle session, even with holes drilled in the hub. This only l...

Got my hands on an Hc 06 and serial usb cable. I sent all the commands to the hc06 from terraterm on windows as the guide says to set the baud rate name etc... everything saved ok. When I connect the hc06 to the sabvoton and run the app, the app says unconnected and does nothing... any help? I assum...

Re: Sabvoton User's Guide (unofficial) [sabvoton.wire.bike]
I'm trying to wrap my head about using the HC-06 in place of a dongle. Never touched an arduino before so while it may be a simple concept its all new to me (at the same time learning how much Im missing out on, an arduino can add so many functions in an ebike). My goal is to reprogram my sabvoton s...

Hey alec, i ran into your guide looking for help with my sabvoton, very helpful so far. I have one of these controllers: https://preview.ibb.co/hWwmpm/20171218_110040.jpg The (M) indicates it's a newer model conpatible with Bluetooth, correct? A few whacks with a rubber mallet and I was able to close up the gap on the lip better than expected. Since you don’t know the brand, it is a guess. 16mm 1.5 pitch I believe But you can measure that Grabbed a m16x1.5 nut from home Depot, perfect fit! Re: Help with "damaged" 5000w hub motor
Hugely appreciate everyone's input! took a shot in the dark and ordered some 128mm 10g spokes from Holmes hobbies, as those are for a cromotor in a 19" moped rim. I believe this is the same size as a cromotor and spokes are definitely thicker than the 12g spokes on my 1000w hub so 10g seemed right. ...

Help with "damaged" 5000w hub motor
Scored this motor and controller combo at what i'd consider a steal for just $75: https://preview.ibb.co/kCCgN6/20171218_185659.jpg It's a 5000w hub motor laced to a 19" motorcycle rim. Very heavy, no distinct markings or model number. Svmc72080 controller https://preview.ibb.co/hWwmpm/20171218_1100...
