Re: SURRON LB: RESEARCH & DEVELOPEMENT

A drop in 72V battery is now available that doesn't require you to sacrifice your OEM one. Great for those who are running aftermarket controllers.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Well, I finally got banned from Luna's Sur Ron Owner's page. because you did what?.... Probably because I helped ERT develop their ASI kit by lending my bike. I think my contributions to that page actually helped sell more bikes overall. The majority of my posts were informative, and I did my...

Re: SURRON LB: RESEARCH & DEVELOPEMENT

Hey what do you guys know about these asi controllers ?? :bolt: :bolt: They're great, but there's a long wait if you want the ERT plug and play version. I don't think you can even make orders at the moment due to the back order on ASI's end as well as Alan (ERT) catching up on getting current order...

Re: ERT tuned ASI BAC 4000 Sur-Ron Light Bee

Well, it's been a year (and a day) since I picked up this bike from Luna's store front down in El Segundo, California, and my bike has come a long way. IMG_0670.jpg I've probably racked up between 3500 - 5000 miles. It's unfortunate that I don't know the exact numbers as I've gone through a number o...

spray some water on it and then pull away hard .... see if the buzzing noise stays away. if so then you can provide the edges of the belt (not the tread / teeth themselves) with a thin layer of bee wax or other natural fat without plasticizers that can damage the rubber of the belt. I tried basical...

And actually; I think I misunderstood Josh. Sounds like he recommending 19x1.85 rear rim and 21" front. How much would that alter geometry? How much heavier than the stock?
What 21" tire will clear the factory RTS fork?

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Today again after 41km the battery shows 20%, this time i ride most of the time in EP mode. i need to dubbel the range :bolt: for the money you pay for a street legal EU sur-ron I think this is a expensive joke I have the same issues regarding range, so I just take my charger with me everywhere I go.

ERT tuned ASI BAC 4000 Sur-Ron Light Bee

Hey y'all, I'm starting a thread on my Sur-Ron Light Bee to give other SR owners and prospective owners an easier place to find my modifications, thoughts, and experiences owning this bike. First off, I'm located in the United States. Luna is the only authorized distributor and only offered one mode...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I see a few people riding 20s and big 16s batteries in the threads here. Is anyone producing them yet? Or how is it going? I think an asi4000 (or equivalent) with a battery upgrade kit would be a big hit for whoever produces them first and with good quality. https://electricrt.com/battery/ A drop i...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

https://electricrt.com/sur-ron-20s-72v-30ah-drop-in-battery-upgrade/ Looks like there will be a drop in solution for a decent battery upgrade. Something isn't adding up here, maybe my math is wrong? They claim a 72 v 30 AH pack at 2460 watt hours, but that would be a 2160 watt hour pack and not 246...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I think the BAC4000 is plenty. With a 20S16Ah test pack, ERT was able to hit 70mph with some room to go faster. The problem was the factory knobby tires were too unstable to push it any further. Lets say that the 4000 and 8000 cost the same. Would you rather have the 4000 or 8000? Any drawbacks to ...

I'm looking at buying a Sur Ron and am having a hard time deciding between getting the X controller or just getting the stock bike and adding an ASI 4000. When did you order? The 2nd batch didn't have regen, but the page that links to clearly states: The page said that when I ordered last year too.... Re: CSC City Slicker

Anyway, 55 mph on an electric bike is not possible at this price point and still having good range. To go 55 mph, you need a 7kW motor and you consume ~125 wH / mile. If you could get that power out of the battery and motor, with a 1.8 kWHr battery, you'd get 15 mile range. Depending on the aerodyn...

Re: CSC City Slicker

The nice thing about the City Slicker is it has a street legal VIN. But they didn't put quite enough into it to make it better than an outlaw ebike. I need 55 mph to compete with a gas scooter like the Honda PCX. The street legal VIN is nice. And storage! Also, unclear if it has an on-board charger...

I wonder why he chose having all the guts in front of the bike rather than having them faced towards battery side.
Maybe it's easier to install?

It looks like ERT is taking pre-orders on their plug and play ASI:

I posted this in the main Sur Ron thread, but it'll be buried quick considering that it's 129 pages at the moment. Posting it here so it'll be easier to find in the future.
