Prismatic LiCo

Hi all, Can anyone here explain what "Prismatic" means in relation to cobalt based lithium bareries? I have been dumpster diving at work and come up with a large array of discarded laptop batteries. Each one that I have opened till now has had one dead cell. I just opened a couple IBM ones and they ...

Re: Need help recelling my bike battery.

I have bids running on the local version ebay, like I said I am in Europe, so buying from the american ebay would be complicated and expensive, I have already sent an inquiry to the factory, phylion@phylionbattery.com. that is an older document I think, I had found that one on google as well though....

Re: Need help recelling my bike battery.

Yeah, the rest of the cells were indeed higher, but once i reattached the balancinf boards they dropped back down, i think the boards on top of the batteries are bleeding the extra voltage off. there is a wire going to each and back to the bms board on top so i don't understand why it kept charging....

Re: Need help recelling my bike battery.

I have just purchased a bike 2nd hand, they guy who sold is said the battery was broken. I tried charging it and it charged, but the low battery light comes on on the bike. I measured it, 40.9V so i took it apart, same as your battery, 2x5 cells arranged in series. Same boards on top of the cells, a...

Re: balancers offered ?

I used xe.com to convert the prices, but it really depends on where you buy them, the price is going to be different via your bank vs your credit cad vs paypal. Pricing (VAT not included) EMUS BMS Control Unit - 289 Euro - 381 USD EMUS BMS Cell Module - 13.99 Euro - 18.50 USD Current Sensor (Double ...

Re: European Dealers

I mean the plastic holders that i could click the cells into. The balancing and charging boards to charge it safely, and balance it so that it is going to last. I have hundreds of lithium ion laptop cells, and so far as discharge, well my bike will only be going 25km/h. I don't want to splash out on...

Re: European Dealers

I have the bike, so it isn't so much motors and conversion kits i need. I need to build the battery out of the scrap laptop parts, so i am looking at a project like this http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-an-inexpensive-Lithium-Ion-Battery-Pack/ I need bits like battery holders and the circuit boa...

European Dealers

Hi all, I have been searching the forum for two days now and reading the existing dealers thread, but it is a bit of a jumble, I am unable to locate dealers in mainland western Europe, specifically the Benelux or Germany. Is this an international forum or are there members that could point me in the...
