Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Hi One strange thing with the latest beta firmware. I have 3 position switch installed, controlling 3 preset modes (legal, economy, unlimited). If I drive in unlimited mode with auto-cruise on and then change to to another mode with switch, everything is ok. But when I switch back to unlimited mode, ...

flux weakening kicks in when the throttle is wide open. Does it kick in, just when the throttle is wide open, even at low speeds or when the throttle is wide open and 100% speed is reached? Today I discover some strange thing about the controller. I unsoldered regeneration BK bridge, and find out t...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Thank you for fast response. Everything you wrote is correct, I confused thresholds with speeds, also didn't know that there was updated version of CAuug, so now I see that there is a lot of new information to read. I also followed both bits of your advice and now everything seems to work as it shou...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

I have some strange things going on with PAS. PAS sensor is simplest reed switch I could get with 4 poles. Motor kicks in at 5 RPM and assists until 60RPM, but when I pedal up to 30rpm, the PAS indicator is jumping to zero once pre each revolution. I double checked the connection of PAS sensor, even...

What kit to buy

Hi I want to upgrade my bike with front hub motor kit.
I was thinking something about 48V 1500W. Should it be sine wave?
I want to go as fast as possible with that voltage. I saw some topics about leaf motors going 731rpm is that ok?
I'm from EU.
What do you prefer?

Re: two batteries with different voltages

Bike is 26" with front hub motor. I'm asking this question because, primary battery on my bike is 16s, if I want to go further I'll use 12s battery in backpack. The question I allready asked is which battery is better to use on uphill and wich on flat. I agree to that, about heating up more with hig...

two batteries with different voltages

Hi I have one hypothetical question.
Let's say I have ebike and two batteries, one is 36v 10Ah and another 48v 10Ah.
Now, my trip is devided into two parts one flat and another uphill.
My question is, on uphill part of the trip which battery is better to use, same for flat part?

This is mine, it's made of fiberglass and painted with car paint. That metalic thing on the bottom (rear) is charging connector and at the top is inlet for motor and throtle cables.

Hi
I modded my charger, so I just connect it to ebike and press button to start charging. When charging is finished it unplugs itself from the battery and mains.

Re: 36v 800W vs 48 1000W

Yup i know about higher temperature, but thermal switch is not directly in the winding but close, so there is thermal bridge to cross. I want to have higher current to have higher torque, wich might be useful to climb steeper hills.

Re: 36v 800W vs 48 1000W

serisman we are thinking the same way, except I didn't know that thing about turns. I'm still not convinced that chineese, as simple as they are, are using voltage/ power as a sort of marketing trick. Btw. In my case, I bought cheap 36V 800W motor and controller set, I tested it (400km) with 62V, wo...

36v 800W vs 48 1000W

Can someone explain what is the differnece betwen 36v 800W hub motor and 48v 1000W, you can find both on ebay. I'm figuring, if I put 48v into 36V 800W motor i get 1000W out of it with same currnet. Heating of motor winding is proportional to current going through motor, but that stays the same beca...
