can only someone tell if he had both side by side.

i dont know what an ASI4000 with display costs but power wise they should be pretty equal.
beside that asi is huge and ugly to hide :P

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Yep... A power limit doesn't mean you get more as you setup...at this point voltage x amps doesn't hit your power limit setting you have just less power. Of course it's pretty dumb idea to setup power limits near maximum possible. If you want a constant power from fresh to hit the lvc its not 'usefu...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

i can tell you the height when everything is done. =) for now the case is a bit higher. the "close mechanism" would get an upgrade. just a longer piece of hanger to close it. maximum height should be a "flat" stock cover. just for aesthetics not higher. It is a veeeeery tight fit/build and needed al...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Does it show any errors in display?
(the harness is for diagnostic stuff) but AFAIK you can't use by yourself.

There's also a crash sensor. But before you disassemble the bike to disconnect stuff for testing where did you bought?
It's new with 0 miles. Your dealer should help?

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

You want constant output curve over the entire discharge? yes So basicly used voltage will be restricted through the pwm to about 60V for a 72V nominal system and used current will be set to your allowed max current setting. You’ll have a constant output over the discharge of the battery, effective...

if you want to limit by power you regulate the amps.

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

JESUS  for NOW: you can limit your 3 Modes to AMPS.....thats what i mean. Yes you loose speed because voltage goes 15-16v down. But you wouldnt lose speed either wenn you limit to WATTage but anyway who cares about speed because Bike behavior is same even if you lost 10-15kph on lower battery.....

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

Merlin, I'm not sure what you want. Personally I agree with the opinion of Electricgod. On speed 1 you can choose the battery and phase intensity as an ECO mode. You can choose the other 2 speeds with higher battery intensities and phases. Isn't that enough to do what you want? not sure how i can e...

Maybe what you should do is implement the 3 speed option.
Make one of the switch settings be that 9.6kw so you get the same ride quality at all battery charge levels.
Make another switch setting where you get 11.8kw.
interessting. how you setup 9.6kw/11.8kw? :D

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

i dont really need "max peaks power" fully 20s = 79v x 150 = 11,8kw (including vdrop) 30% 20s = 64v x 150 = 9,6kw (including vdrop) this difference you notice pretty good. if you limit your ride to 9.5KW you have not the feeling of losing power =) iam talkin about power...not speed. got it? :mrgreen...

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

i have "maybe" something for our wishlist. in short: a power limit option for each mode. we all know how nice is the first miles with a fresh battery. and we all know how it sucks when your on 30% Battery left. you miss some couple KW of Power because your Battery voltage drops 15/16v. if you had th...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

average. not continue. with 100v and stock gearing the surron will hit 80+ mph. if you design any EV, yes. go with very high voltage but also design the motor for it. high voltage on the surron motor brings efficiency down (up)to ~60% (if you ride it normal) (justins motor calculator show that prett...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

not really. 24s/100v is not the best idea. for hot rod, all time running @ 60mph maybe. but if your avg speed is more 30mph you run all time less efficient as the 16s/18s package. i think 18s would be the sweet spot and 20s acceptable. but i didnt expect something brillant from a guy who ask the sur...

Re: Nucular Electronics owner's thread (setup infos, FW updates, links etc.)

0.4 is the beginning of a diyng block. is this maybe an ANT BMS? i read alot of dead battery(donno why) if you dont have size problems about an BMS...avoid this one. had 2 of them and the BT connection sux too. i bet your cell group 0.4v kicks in. set your bms lvc for the cells to 2.0v if possible. ...

what does status flag said on your load test?
if you can spin the wheel (rear lifted) than maybe battery sag kicks in.
check in display what the voltage does on accelerate.

or for a quick try set your LVC to 10v

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

you could use the switch. but you dont need. wiring is pretty simple to the display and you can setup regen also as you like. with a left thumb throttle as variable regen or slide recharge aka throttle off regen. means you close the throttle, regen engages. of course the strength you can setup in am...
