Re: DVT Software

Where do you live? A quick internet search will help you. There may be a supplier in your country that sells them or an EV shop that can help you.

Solid progress :)
Shame you can't get the drive sprocket closer to the swing arm pivot.
Hi Chris, I would have to modify the frame by cutting out a cross member, I have a spare frame and swing arm for the YZF600R which I can play with but that is another project.

Re: YZF600R Thundercat EV

Well, I have been pondering how I can get my ME1507 into my YZF600R to replace the ME0913. Here is a picture of the motor with my newly shot blasted swing arm. IMG_2688.JPG So I started making a template. IMG_2687.JPG Then I happened to stumble across a YZF600R frame and swing arm on ebay. I bought ...

Re: YZF600R Thundercat EV

Hi, awesome project! I was just wondering if the Mobipus controller is still in the pipeline? I'm debating between their 600A model or a Sevcon gen4 and wondering if you might have experience with both? Batteries are still a question mark for me too. I'm considering Chevy volt cells, or possibly a ...

Just a quick update, the advent of the Lightning Strike has fulfilled a gap in the market that I was trying to achieve with this build. As such I will using the Sevcon Gen4Size6 and ME1507 to upgrade my electric Thundercat. I have already replaced the the Gen4 Size4 with the Size6. I will definitely...

Hi,
We are going to need a bit more information, there are many things with a Sevcon that could cause this.
Do you have the software to diagnose and monitor the controller parameters?

Re: Dashboard suggestions

Just finished working out how to get a micro controller to read my Sevcon size 6 TPDO Data. I have the dvt software so I know the scaling factors and this data can be ported to a digital display.

I will create a new thread to document the process soon.

Re: Sevcon Gen4 CAN messages

The addresses are the COB ID’s of each TPDO, each PDO contains objects such as battery voltage, motor current etc. You will need to know what object(s) are in each PDO then you can work out the decimal values from the hex values and apply any scaling to get readable data. Each TPDO can hold 8 bytes ...

I am trying to do the same, use the CAN data to drive a display from my Size 6. I haven’t been able to initialise CAN yet so work in progress. I may be able to help with the CAN data you have posted. I will check those values in my DVT tomorrow and see if I can decipher them.
