Re: Anyone using a Sabvoton 96V120A controller? SVMC96120

I’m currently running a 24s battery on a 96120 controller and have noticed it runs cool until regen kicks in then things start to heat up, was wondering if removing 2cells and running it of 22s would fix the problem?

Mobipus has become like the proverbial unicorn, spoken about in stories and fairy tales but hardly to be seen in real life unless you are among the chosen few lucky enough to be in Samds good books.

Also why is their a don’t buy on the blog update title? When most of the reports are po...

Cant seem to make my controller run slower changing the DC currents and the phase currents, only works when changing the motor speed percentage but this makes the motor run hot, any input would be helpful I’m running a 96120 controller

So the black on the high speed low speed dongle needs to be connected directly to the negative on the 72v battery?
If anyone has their high speed low speed connected and working please let me know how you did it

Re: Battery building best practices? 18650 packs

Just go for it and learn as you go, get some dead cells from some where (old laptops or power tools) and practice on them, my two cents is this get a really hot soldering iron 300w one from eBay or aliexpress and use that don’t spotweld unless you have a really good one, spotwelding is a good idea b...

Re: Lipos a good option for high performance small pack?

Some forums claim the Lico chemistry allows 12% increase in power and claim max charge of 4.35v, my seller told me that 4.2v is the max for the type of cell I purchased from him, and about not using the max out of the cell, I don’t know about that dude, there is another guy doing what I did only on ...

These things are works of art dude good job, my only thing is why the hell would you do all that work only to run lipos with a 5c rating when there are single cells out there with 50c rating?

Re: Lipos a good option for high performance small pack?

I made my own lipo battery pack from AliExpress single cell lipos 3p 12s with a powerful well made bms and the whole setup works great, I’ve made a 18650 pack for an ebike a while back 10p 22s works well don’t get me wrong but the lipo pack is best still early days so I can’t say about its long term...

Re: Assembled Hi-Power LiPo battery packs - any interest?

Am I to surmise that storing lipos at anything below 4.2 is fine? how goes the cycle tests so far? I've also read and tested (not at any great lengths yet) that if you compress lipos they work better as the partials are forced closer to each other
