Re: Good price battery supplier in USA. Don't order elsewher

I paid $661 including shipping for 250 Samsung 25R cells from nkon.nl last week I just put 250 in my cart on IMR and it was $812.50 shipped So almost 20% cheaper... You then have to really consider the cell you are pricing and quantity you want. I really only use the Sanyo 18650GA cells so that is ...

Good price battery supplier in USA. Don't order elsewhere

If you are looking for 18650 cells you may want to look at this company. www.imrbatteries.com Their prices seem really good for a supplier based in USA. Lets look at if you wanted to buy 200 Sanyo 18650GA cells. These seem to be the most popular right now. https://www.imrbatteries.com/sanyo-ncr18650...

Re: Anyone get chased by law enforcement on an ebike?

I had another police chase and this one was my longest yet. I was riding back from my city center and wasn't even doing anything crazy. I was using my bike more as a motorcycle, but I don't think I was running lights or being aggressive. The last thing I would have thought was that the police would ...

Re: NEW CELLS 18650 SAMSUNG/SANYO/PANASONIC/LG 2900-3500mAh

What is up with these prices? Seem really high. Can't even buy individual cells anymore? You can now buy them cheaper from nkon.nl. https://ru.nkon.nl/samsung-inr18650-35e.html Samsung 35E for only €3.01 or $3.25, That is as cheap or cheaper than they were ever listed here individually. I'm not sure...

Re: US Group buy for the new MXUS 3000w V3

They talk a little about the curved magnets on the EU group by. It seems the new magnets are going from a 38H to a 38SH rating. That means the temperature rating of the magnets are going from 38H = 120c 38SH = 150c. This right here is a huge improvement in magnet heat rating. There is a chance any o...

Re: US Group buy for the new MXUS 3000w V3

Thanks for sharing. I'd be in favor in just going with them as is then as I would guess that would take at least a month most likely more..? what does everyone else think? That isn't good that they have no idea when the new magnets will even be ready, I think what we need is a two order group buy. ...

Re: US Group buy for the new MXUS 3000w V3

From my research it seems the curved magnets are superior. Which makes sense because the stator is round. Don't listen to the couple of guys here saying that the curved magnets are not superior, common sense will tell you that with curved magnets you get more magnet mass, and also the magnets closer...

Do you guys ordering this motor think it is worth waiting for the curved magnets?

How much of a difference do you think it will actually make?

Re: BRAND NEW CELLS 18650 SAMSUNG/SANYO/PANASONIC 3500mAh

Just got a message from a forum member that the cells are about 5-6% less capacity when comparing them to the rated capacity and what other people got when testing for capacity. Can some people here who bought new cells run them from 4.2 to 2.5 volts one cycle to test for capacity. Make sure you top...

Re: Anyone get chased by law enforcement on an ebike?

I'm not so sure if I am going to post the story about my more serious police chase. I will maybe have to wait for some more time to pass or I move. Before my serious police chase I had actually spent time planning on how I was going to get away in a serious chase. But when this chase went down a lot...

I don't know the answer to the question? But will answer any way. Experiment. Get some scrap batteries and some nickel whatever thickness you plan on using. Turn the adjustment knob all the way one way. Make test weld. Turn the adjustment knob the opposite way. Make test weld. Adjust knob till weld...

Re: JP spot welder

I read through the whole thread and still confused about something. How do you choose the optimal battery size? Is it better to use a larger size lead acid or more closer to 1100 Cranking amps this way you will keep the pulse time lower? I have an 800 cranking amp battery, but I could also connect a...

Re: Anyone get chased by law enforcement on an ebike?

OK so here is my first chase story. This is the lesser of the two chases and my first. Statute of limitations has already passed with these chases so they are safe to mention them. I was driving down a three lane city street, pretty heavy with traffic and came upon a red light. I saw a police car in...

Anyone get chased by law enforcement on an ebike?

Has anyone ever ran from police or any kind of law enforcement, which includes police or forest rangers or basically anyone who could arrest you. I am not looking for a discussion if running from them is right or wrong, we are all adults here and know the answer to that already, just asking if anyon...

velias, I started all of this by quoting your post. All you did was just ask if others have concern about sending money over to Russia. Before you even asked this I wrote this in another thread, basically saying it is ridiculous that they don't offer Paypal. So yes, others surely agree. http://endle...

Re: SPECIAL OFFERS for ADAPTTO controllers and BMS boards

I'll speculate on why they don't offer paypal, this may insult some people but it is better spoken then trying to be polite. Russia is plagued by scammers, just go to youtube and watch all the dash cam videos because Russians need to mount them on their car because of all the scammers. Most of the w...

Re: NYX Carbon Fiber E-Frame built ! by Doc

Doctorbass, I don't see that the NYX bike has clamping dropouts. I know they are supported well but it has been debated here that without a clamping dropouts the axle will rock in the dropouts from regen and acceleration and develop very slight play. This slight play could weaken the axle and eventu...

Re: How dangerous are Lipo's?

People on this board will scare you to death about using Lipos when they are only a problem if you puncture them or charge them incorrectly. Worst is to use a bulk charger. Lipos won't just spontaneous combust, so your bike sitting inside your house with batteries shouldn't just catch on fire. I've ...
