Re: Stongest tandem ebike wheel build help

Hear is a close up. Also 8 speed freewheel im forcing in costs money also. 2018-04-18_15.30.02.jpg I never would use 12GA spokes on this hub. They probably have drilled out the holes to make the large spokes fit. With a flange diameter that small there is not much material between the spoke holes w...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

Today i installed the motor to the swingarm. I wish there would be a bit more clearance between it and the wheel (so i could add the fender i used before), but anyway i'm quite happy that there was standard belt length availabe that suit my needs. What i'm missing now is the belt idler and a new mot...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

Hi Maddin, thanks for posting, quite an inspirational build. Interesting use of adhesive. Couple of questions if you don't mind, did you include a 'fence' on only one side of the pulley to aid machining? No need for a fence on the second side? It is called belt guide flange :) yes as this pulley is...

Re: Stongest tandem ebike wheel build help

Bicycle spokes go up to 13g realistically; maybe 12g with really good rims/hubs. Beyond that, stuff like 10g and larger, theyre really moped or motorcycle spokes, in that the rims and hubs needed for them are not generally found in bicycle stuff. There are new Spokes from Sapim called "E-strong". T...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

Thats what the Software from Gates puts out if all parameters entered. Following calculation is at 14kW input (10kW with so called 1.4 service factor) at 5000RPM on the motor. As you can see it can handle above 14kW (output power on the motor shaft, not input power). https://imagizer.imageshack.com/...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

iv seen it said that a belt wont last long at 10+kw, but i suppose it depends on the belt quality and depends on the cost, as i wouldnt mind replacing the belt every few months as a tradeoff. If it lasts long or not depends on the torque and RPM of the smaller driver pulley. There is a software fro...

Re: Neumotor 8057/75 middrive project, belt drive, adding halls, 10kW+

The past days i made some progress. I have receiced the LMX dual disc hub (new version with dual row bearings black anodized), the 17x1,4" moped rim from Prowheel and Sapim spokes from Yojimbos garage (ebay seller). But the best thing is the parts for the belt drive also came in. For building the wh...

Re: HPC Revolution XXX

Caught a glimpse of something very interesting on Hi Power Cycles' (HPC) website... might just be the thing I'm waiting for. This pic is on their Facebook site, no info yet, but will be waiting to see what they develop. In the meantime it'll be a hub for now. The MXUS V3 is such a bargain, problem ...

Re: 32S, 300 amp, BT, LCD BMS

Can I swap all the 100V HY045N10 fets for AOT2500? You have the 24s <100V BMS, right? so it would be really stupid to swap them out for AOT2500 which have more than twice the resistance. The HY's are not bad. Almost as good as the widley used IRF4110 in terms of Rds on  How do I check if the ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

He has been testing this controller for about a month now with all kind of motors and points out that this is the only controller out there that creates optimal environment for ANY motor at ANY load. This means that depending on the load and speed, the controller instantly adjusts all the parameter...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

FYI: Luna has a ASI controller on one of their test bikes. They say because the ASI has field weakening it spins 20% faster so they made a 60t sprocket for it: At 12:03: https://youtu.be/Lw1mLYKVxaY?t=726 Thats a nice upgrade and field weakening makes a lot of sense. Hopefully the battery and bms c...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I am curious about getting more power out of the stock motor. When I look at the factory motor graphs the efficiency drops off. How does a different controller make more power? hp3000.jpg ph3000 graph 2.png For a serious tuning it would need more than just swappping controller. It needs more volt a...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

flippy, a drop of 0,15V in one month on a battery which has 30A is definitely not normal. Think about a normal e-bike battery which have more like 10Ah. Such battery would be dead if stored over the winter month even if fully charged (0,45V per month). When i stored one 48V 12Ah battery over the win...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

The great thing about the Sempu T2.3 sensor is it doesn't need a sprocket carrier (or adapter) like the bafang does.
Which controller do you talking about, or do you mean the CA?

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

We will be testing two models of torque sensors from bafang and senpu, Ive talked to Mr Thun on the phone and guys from NTCE (the sensors in thun BBs) but they are focused on mass production of 68mm BB sensors while we need 100mm BSA. Yes 100mm BB is indeed a problem. I would check for Fatbike BB, ...

Re: 32S, 300 amp, BT, LCD BMS

This is truly confounding! This is a 32S BMS. That means it realistically needs to handle upwards of 140 volts depending on cell chemistry. So why does it have 100 volt mosfets (HY45N10's) on the C- side? Why no access to P- where it has 150 volt IRF4115's? There is no part of 100 volt mosfets that...

This one begs for a number plate (single vehicle approval) so you can ride with it like a moped on the roads with a smile past the cops. Awesome that you could fit 21s18p into this frame. Thats probably the largest battery ever fit into a NYX. How much range do you get at moped speeds (or about 70km...

The Lightningrods "big block" motor, Denzel D4500 or the motor LMX have should have identical performance. Check them out.
From what i know the LMX motor is the most powerful one because it has a 60mm long stator

how do you drill copper sheet for the P+ without crumpling the copper? Sandwich the copper between 2 pieces of wood and drill through the wood. It holds it all flat.
