would it be worth to swap out a Thun torque sensor (or Xcell RT) for the Sempu?

Re: middrive motor, small and powerful -> Neu 8057/75 or??

The plan for the halls is to install them outside by use of 3D printed parts. Going this route makes more sense, because: - the winding is terminated in delta which means the sensors would belong somewhere into the theeth and not between (from what i know a 30° shift electrically would be needed com...

Re: Kuberg Freerider Project

Does anyone know if the ground on the hall sensors has to be common with the controller battery input ground? Or can you run your hall sensors off a 9volt battery completely separate and be fine with the signal they output? Thanks in advance, still pondering this 12v to halls things Each signal nee...

And the individual cells draws are: 23.09 A 23.86 A 25.44 A 27.86 A A bigger (18%) difference end to end, but hardly the 200% difference shown in the link. And if you make the cell internal resistances a more realistic 100 mOhms rather than 50 mOhms, then the end to end difference drops to less tha...

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

You talking to who. ? I still like the 25r. But only need 20s at 50amp. Still 8p for ah. Can 160 cells fit in an em3ev trianlge bag ? I was talking to everyone who is interested in high lifetime and not about the last % of higher performance when using best cells. Because the best cells will get wo...

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

If I needed max possible amps in the smallest package, I'd get the 25R and simply live with the compromises. However, my research indicates that the 25R is not lasting as long as the 30Q, measured in months, with daily use. I don't know why. Could it be that you squeezed out the 25R more as the 30?...

Re: New battery pack build.....25R, 30Q or VTC6?

So it's time for a new pack and pretty sure I'm ready to order next week. So if I can choose from 25R, 30Q or VTC6 which way would I want to go. I read and read and always end up confused. When I compare the cells it doesn't really end up a fair comparison since I'll buy the cells to get the amps I...

Re: middrive motor, small and powerful -> Neu 8057/75 or??

@ DanGT yes, the LMX hub would be a goo choice if the axle can be swapped for a longer one (my dropouts have quite much wall thickness). The problem is i would like to use the 17x1,4" prowheel rim i have left which has 32 spoke holes, but the LMX hub has 36h. The motor is there! It took only 3 days ...

Is the intro pricing still available? yes Are you mounting Halls in the NEU motor? Did you talk NEU into adding them? Did you tell them what you were doing with it or get any feedback or tech support from them? I'm curious if they are bike friendly or if they said "airflow, prop, blah blah ..... no...

Re: Idiots guide to water cooled mid motor making

Initial plan was to let the water pass through the stator hub to cool coils indirectly, the design evolved to cooling of all the coils directly by giving the stator assembly a shell and run water through the whole assembly. It looks doable with clearance to stator sideplates and coils. Biggest issu...

Re: middrive motor, small and powerful -> Neu 8057/75 or??

If you go the beltdrive route, you can manufacture the large pulley from a metallic hub and spokes with a 3dprinted belttrack in segments depending on printersize. As there are so many teeth gripping on the large pulley, a properly made 3dprinted one out of abs/petg/ or even pla should work well. I...

I had it in memory that i could choose 70% batt current on the KBS48121-X which i used for some bikes when i was working for an e-bike company and i also have something about different firmware versions in my mind, but thats already more than two years ago so please don't nail me down on this.

Re: Small 72v 50A controller

I got the Kelly KBS72121X controller, And i looks like its capable to handle 55A FASE current, not battery current. Its only 26A battery current. Yes, it can do 55A phase current continuous and 130A peak for 10sec, but what gives you the idea that this is only 26A batt? motor current: 80% 130A * 0,...

Strange, your 1/4 mile time is slower than Arlo1's (12.8 sec) but your power to weight is roughly the same I guess (he has 300kW)... any idea what the reason for this is ? I guess it is input power vs output power, so the efficiency of the motor. It would be interesting to know how much of the powe...

Re: Sur-ron Adaptto

Such triple astro drive would surely be awesome, but to be honest i think it is not ideal. I would use one single motor, a 10/20kW FOC controller (ASI, emDrive) with torque control, and the most important thing: turn on regen braking. 30kW, biclycle braking system and no regen = no go. How much woul...

Seems that KTM is running a 300 v battery. Why did the KTM choose to go for such a high voltage battery pack? Are they getting any benefits from running at 300v that they couldn't get at 150v or even at 100v? The newest Freeride has 18kW peak and about 10kw continuous from what i know, so less than...

What would it take to setup regen? It is a 12 cell 5000mah 100c pack with a 200c peak. You can blow the whole loads in 15 seconds without the
cells even heating up!!! 20kW continuous with 40kW bursts. 3.5 lbs of battery with dual 8 gauge leads. Sweet

Re: Sur-ron Adaptto

Do you see a possibility of adding a freewheel to the bike, madin? This is hard to say without having the bike. You probably want to have the freewheel in the rear hub for lowest drag. There are solutions for bicycle hub's (with thread), but the hub from the Surron has a bolt circle on both sides. ...
