Re: Fat tire speeds
I'm not aware of a speed rating for fat tires. I've had mine up to about 35mph going downhill and I keep thinking that if a tire blew out, I would probably be seriously injured. With smaller tires, one can blow out and you have some chance of controlling the bike enough to pull over. With a fat tir...

Re: Vector Light Commuter Build
Really liking this build! You've done some nice work turning an ugly duckling frame and a bunch of mostly used parts into a bike that looks (and probably rides) better than bikes that cost a LOT more. It looks like there's a lot of room above the shock inside the sub-seat frame. Do you think there'd...

What ever happened to the MXUS 5K? Did anyone ever get hands-on specs? I'm curious to see how it compares to the QS205 in the real world.

Re: My Sun Trip Bike, Back to Back Tandem Trike with Rowing Generator, Pedals, +Solar
The 2nd mockup looks fantastic! Will the handle for the rower get attached to a pivot like in the THYS? The stick-on-a-string is surely lighter, but is it more tiring to have to control lateral & twisting motion with your arms while rowing? This seems like it would be similar to the difference b...

Re: Full suspension E-Bike for touring? Do such animal exist
Do you know where can I buy 29er fat-bike rims (for mounting 3inch+ tires), that have 36 spoke holes? Kris Holm makes some 47mm wide unicycle rims with 36 holes. I've heard they're quite strong (unicyclists put all their weight on one wheel) but I've never tried them myself. http://krisholm.com/en/...

Re: 15F/18F SW/SILENT CONTROLLER 36-150V BT-ANDROID/GPS-$179
Great to hear! What kind of temp sensor (thermistor or something more like an LM35)? Can any of the existing wires out of the controller be connected to the temp sensor, or would the temp sensor wires get soldered to the board? Adding a sensor and streaming temperature via the Bluetooth can be done ...

Re: 15F/18F SW/SILENT CONTROLLER 36-150V BT-ANDROID/GPS-$179
Powervelocity: I'm interested in thermal rollback that doesn't require a CA. Are temp sensors supported on your current controllers? Thanks The wheel will not spin with a programming cable connected. Kind of a safety mechanism. That may be different with the BT programming. I will have to test. Yes,...
