You can see fuse on left side by the winding on my photo. White thing, 110°C on it.
On your motor was the temp sensor just hanging loose like that originally or did you pull it out to show us? Should really embed it in the windings.

Re: PV NextGen Controller FOC compact 150v 22kw Max - $499

Would it be possible to have the bluetooth soldered to the pcb? Some IO has been set aside in recent firmware for a permanently attached NRF chip. This would leave RX and TX ports free for other uses such cruise control and profile switching.

I'm sure the controllers will be great.

Make sure to include the SWD port and the third unused adc pin in the connectors.

Bigger than Cyclone 3kW and 2-4kW, with a lot less torque and a fraction of the power? What am I missing? If they are anything like the ones I bought for a similar price from aliexpress, there is a lot of empty space inside. The stator height is the same as the cyclone 3k at 30mm. Air gap diameter ...

Finally got around to mounting a new encoder board on the bike. https://i.imgur.com/IO8WpYy.jpg I tried using position control to hold the wheel at a stop but wasn't able to get the transition nice and smooth. Instead I configured my regen lever as a reverse throttle and set the reverse erpm limit v...

Nice work on printing gears. The fact that the PLA gear with 20% infill didn't immediately crack is encouraging.

Re: Neu 8057 6kW left hand drive hardtail with vesc and encoder

Does the controller need a given motor RPM or does it supply the 300A from a dead stop without loosing sync? It starts smoothly but the very first bit of acceleration won't be as strong as a sensored setup. Maybe from 0-2 km/h. After that its the same. It's still an improvement over the ASI sensorl...

The v1.3 a200s board with the hsof-8 fets has been running well. Played around with the observer gains and rc filters on the current sense output. Now I can be as rough on the throttle as I want at 300A phase in sensorless. Everything is smooth with no faults. Been trying to find a better way to han...

I've used vesc-tool with BLE on android and linux a fair bit but only for testing on the bench. Don't really like phone on handlebars even if it is a cheap one just used as a display. The main problem with using it for display is that the watt-hours and battery current may not be that accurate since...

The stock gears are quite large. And from reading through the c3000 thread it looks like they can withstand a lot. I think cooling and motor temperature will be what makes the difference.

Replacing a mosfet was an absolute nightmare though. Need a lot of heat with all that copper You might consider trying out a resistance soldering unit / RSU. I don't know if the AC current would hurt a mosfet. The first repair I blasted with the heat gun and ended up killing a current sense amplifi...

Re: Serious FOCer (84V VESC 6 based controller)

Is there any information to support adding them? I've found the current filters help with sensorless start and at low currents where the snr is poor. I have a vesc set up where the amplifiers saturate the adc at 495A. Without the filters at 2A (no load) the motor current just jitters around 0. Some...

Have you considered adding a low pass filter on the current sense and/or phase voltage sense? Like on the new vesc6+ and 75/300.
