Re: fatbikes any slower than 26"er drag wise?

IMO, you don't need a fat bike for street. It will be quick to wear out dirt tires. But there are cruisers with larger than typical tires. Big balloons, with street tires that still have some good cush, just not 10 psi. run more like 30 psi. An ordinary 7 speed beach cruiser with the fenders remove...

Re: fatbikes any slower than 26"er drag wise?

Thank you everyone. Have you seen the newer 650b + bikes. Can run fatbike wheels, 27.5 and 29" wheels. Pretty much can use all the sizes if necessary... Of course hub motor would be out of the picture with one of these, would hate to lace the motor many times over. The full suspension versions are m...

Newer cyclone 1680w?

Looks like they have upgraded it substantially. 36-48v /40 amp controller and Isis crank for 400ish, it's about halfway down under the larger cyclone 3-6kw kits . Anybody purchase one yet, or have contact with paco?

fatbikes any slower than 26"er drag wise?

thinking about selling off my 1kw dd 26'er and going fatbike/ 650b+. This way I can get rid of the full suspension bike(no real reason to own one more maintence, 85% street riding) and get a mongoose/bikesdirect large tire bike. this will mostly be for the street..so curious how long the street tire...

anybody have a aliexpress triangle pack that they have bought recently? Looking around. Rather pay 399 for a 20ah pack then spend 700 for the same thing.

bbs02/bbshd on bmx?

saw a video on youtube, he was running a bbs02 with the standard front chain ring and 14t rear. It hit 25-26mph on the flat and was pretty quick on acceleration. It was also more efficient? If I ran a larger front chainring would 30mph be possible on flat?

Still sitting in customs. Starting week 17. Jeez! Some deal, missing half the damn season. Should have been less greedy for ah,s and bought another Ping. This Sun-thing deal, has turned out to be much costlier, as far as I,m concerned. I,ve been chompin at the bit since the middle of April, and I s...

Re: Cute Q100 lightweight builds slow mtb, fast road

Where to buy these motors other than bms? Rather pay 10-20 more and have cheap shipping... Are these motors even the q128h too weak for anything over 25mph? They accelerate same as a direct drive hub on 1200w? There are also the bafang Bpm versions that are more like a Mac, but they are heavy. Think...

Re: Red Bull and other "Energy" Drinks

I've lately developed the nasty habit of chewing roasted coffee beans for energy at work. Each bean supposedly contains approximately 12mg of caffeine, so around eight beans equals a cup of coffee. I'm saving money in kitchen efficiency and conserving water by not brewing the stuff, which also cuts...

Re: Raged Cube Reaction 29er Cyclocross BBS02 Build Thread

how many miles total? Since you owned a 29er with suspension on the front also, what do you recommend a 29er mtb or 700c CX bike? I really want a full suspension xc 29er bike for the bbshd, but there so dang expensive even used....... cx bike can be had for cheap, but I think the fat tires of the mt...

sells both units, seems they upgraded the mounts for the older kit, however I remember many many posts about bad gearbox or controller.

Re: Diamondback Ridge Runner

yeah the 27.5" is growing, pushing 26" out of the industry now.. i could build a 29er also, however these usually have way less frame space. I might pull the plug on the cyclone since its 1/2 the price, however I think a full suspension bike would be better suited for the high power fun that the mot...

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/us/en/brand-x-ht-01-27-5-hardtail-frame/rp-prod130452 was thinking about building a 27.5er BBS/Cyclone with this frame...since we don't use the cranks we only need a few parts.. Mainly its just the forks/wheelset that will be pricey. Honestly could use a 8 speed s...

perfect, thanks for the info. Just needs to be pressed in correctly, other wise damage can occur. Since he will not need a crank setup, were just going to build it up from the frame up. A full suspension frame is very expensive, so we might just build up a hardtail. Also seems that 26" bikes have be...

BSA/BB30 29'eR

Hi,
My buddy wants to either build a cyclone 3kw or a bbshd. I think he is aiming for the former, but he is nervous downgrading to square taper cranks.. Which of these bb should he choose for install, also will 29" tires cause him to use a different front sprocket for either motor?

Re: Instructables: "How to make a lithium battery"

also, wouldnt it be alot simpler to not use a bms and just use a good RC charger? Seems like it would cut down on almost half of the wiring. I grasp the whole concept, except the grouping of cells the way he did it. Im used to parallel then serial.
