Re: Hall sensored setup: does it work properly?

I assume there's more to it than adding hall sensors as all of the commercial boards use custom esc's along with them. I think the esc is key to smooth starting and braking. I have this impression because after updating my alien esc I can (almost smoothly) start from a dead stop (not that I really w...

Re: Electric Freebord (LEIF)

Nice! I've been thinking about electrifying a freebord. They should have hired a more experienced-looking rider for the video, or maybe it's just goofy to ride..

If everything feels strong and you worked with a reasonably clean soldering iron and the motor spins powerfully you should be fine.

Re: Lipo Paranoia

removing the batteries for charging is a hassle, even if it's easily swappable. be careful but not paranoid. keep an eye on your cells and you'll be fine. put a lipo meter on your board as planned. best no-hassle solution.

Resize the image..? Google if you don't know how.
Or try to google your board based on what you see in front of you

Re: Anybody own an Evolve Board?

whilechukwuzout, have you ever opened up the board and taken a look at the plug of the controller. I was talking about their new remote that just came out. the only info i could get was that it's usable with their old boards without changing the receiver to their esc. question is can we use their re...

Anybody own an Evolve Board?

Hey guys, does anybody have an Evolve Board and could share some info about the remote and the plug that is used to connect it to the esc? Their new remote looks perfect, I would love to buy it. The question is can we use it with our ESC's without major programming skills? I shot them an E-Mail and ...

Re: Brushless dual 6kw ALIEN Power system - electric longboa

Just did the update and WOW! Braking is so great! I'll have to tweak the code on my arduino a bit to use the whole travel of the joystick but it's already awesommme. I think the nunchuk is even better for braking as the joystick offers more travel and feels more like a progressive brake pedal. Have ...

Re: My build. Rayne Killswitch Electrified, 4KW Alien Compon

Got it, felt something weird under the isolation removed it and found this: IMG_76721.jpeg The cables always felt like the weak link on these alien motors, the isolation is thin rubber tube that tears like nothing and the cable is too stiff at the end because of solder paste, so it broke right there...
