Re: Problems with lead batteries. They swell quickly.

These batteries model can not be achieved here. I can get lead acid batteries unsuitable for cycles of the same size for 200 euros ($ 220). I can get lead acid batteries suitable for cycles per € 270 ($ 300). For € 270 ($ 300) I can get lithium battery in the same useful capacity. I think the purch...

Looks like really nice bike! Are you really so law-obeying and patient that you just wait until you get your licence?
At least go for off-road or smth! :D

Re: LightningRods mid drive kit

I was a little skeptical of the power ratings but the word around ES is that the n171 can take 5000w. I haven't seen a Fallbrook document say that but I suppose I will find out. I just hope that a failure doesn't happen 10 miles in a trail... Acrually these things should be rated by torque, not pow...

Hi, i would like to get some dimensions/specs: 1) jackshaft nut that holds freewheel - It has become loose and I lost it while riding. I know that I used 12mm socket wrench when servicing freewheel. Tried other standard metric nuts and closest was 13mm outer, 6mm inner, but thread pitch was differen...

but i'm not sure if decreasing wrap is a step in the right direction... i hope meelis11 would keep us posted... anyway if that fails you might wanna try an 18T pulley for more tooth engagement. but then it would totally screw up the already bad reduction. so you'll need an even bigger belt pulley a...

Re: Mxus v2 versus Cromotor ???? scam??

If provided motor can suit your needs then I would ask 150$ refund - and call it as compromise (refer that web listing that is 150 cheaper). That way they see that you are willing to make compromises and probably accept your offer. If it does not suit your needs, then make dispute (ask full refund p...

I bought one of these on ebay to try out, and while they work just fine, the output isn't enabled by default. You have to push a button to turn it on. Could be a good thing for some applications, but I wanted to set it and forget it so I just have to plug in my bike and go. Ordered one with adjusta...

Re: Doctorbass 2WD NYX / Adaptto / MXUS 32kW 105 pounds

i was just interested in those 150c packs you're using. for those who don't know: those actually aren't 150c cells. those are 2p 75c cells. still not bad, but i was wondering how the heck they can make 150c cells, and why i haven't seen any before. so i can say my bike has a 100c battery as well, j...

The oven is usually on a dedicated 30A circuit so will supply a welder with more current without tripping the breaker :) I know - just use whatever you have to solve problem - it is easier to use already available socket with more powerful breaker than replace existing one with type B or more power...

Try a Type B circuit breaker - these are used for devices with large inrush currents (motors, transformers) to prevent nuisance tripping. I had also similar problem - when turned welder on then breaker tripped. Connected welder to kitchen socket where normally electric oven is connected and no prob...

Re: 11 miles to work,what to expect out of 48v 1000w 15ah

No one has mentioned one important factor - do you plan to pedal too? I pedal and commute about 33kmh (21mph) and I can get about 8-10Wh/km. I charge only once a day - after 30km (20miles). I have 10Ah 44V battery (12S LIPO) and daily I use about 5-6Ah
If you pedal you can double your range at 20mph.

Thanks. Seal is still broken but I have it filled with grease and I put big washer to cover ...

Any idea how to disassemble GNG v1.1 jackshaft. It is metal tube and inside are sealed bearings and shaft. Is it press-fit? How I disassemble it? At right side bearing seal is worn/broken probaly because bearing does not move and shaft turns inside bearing! For some reason shaft is not tightly insid...

Thanks, I will need to open charger to take closer look!
R13 and other resistor next to it then make voltage divider? If I replace these resistors with multiturn potentiometer (10K?) then I should have adjustable voltage? :)

MEBO battery charger 48V 5A - can I adjust voltage?

Hi, I opened it up and cannot see potentiometers anywhere. Same 5A charger is available 54.6V (mine), 58v, 36V etc. I thought that I just open it up and can make little adjustments - I have 12S lipo but charger is for 13S (my future battery) Any idea is it adjustable charger?
