Re: 12kw V2100 Build (The widowmaker)

Hahaha the wiring from each of the packs is 10 gauge to the connector (Basically a Y-Cable to connect the two packs in parallel) and then 8 gauge to the controller, 10 gauge phase wires, all of these are just stranded copper (I think?) I got from hobbyking, very nice silicon wiring they have. The vo...

She still needs her contactor and precharge wired up but XT90s will do for now. 12kw on the cycle analyst and weighs in around 130lbs without a rider, top speed is around 55mph, im very satisfied. All it ne...

I already bought them, and I got the LEDs so I can read it at night, and they are powered off 12v, so I can just hook it into the 12v converter.

Half of the fun of ebiking, for me at least, is working on the thing. Seeing something I made/fixed that provides me means of transportation is something that always brings a smile to my face.

Modding 24fet Lyen 4110 Controller

Ive been using my EB324 24fet controller I got from Lyen for a while now and its amazing coupled with my 5403. Recently it has died due to fet failure, so I thought why not just mod the whole thing to a bit more (because electric power is addicting) This thread will serve as my build thread with ton...

Re: It worked great! for 3 seconds... :(

I've replaced 8 fets in my 24fet lyen after my entire high and low side yellow exploded after I shorted the wires and ran 6kw through it. Worked like a charm afterword :) It's not that hard but you need to know how to solder well enough to make sure you don't kill/melt the PCB or any component near ...

Re: Cycle Analyst problem..flashing "V' ???

Out of curiosity can you show me your battery or how many C's is your battery rated for? If you sagging to under 65v with a full charged battery your drawing wayyy too much. Otherwise just put it at 60v or whatever the voltage sags too with full throttle. Just don't ride below your cutoff (65v-60v)

Re: Cycle Analyst problem..flashing "V' ???

Yea that should be fine. 65v should be ok, I wouldn't go under 62v though. I personally stop around 67v (18cell lipo) just to help my battery live longer.

Re: Cycle Analyst problem..flashing "V' ???

Battery voltage decreases as the battery cycle is depleted. Battery voltage can also sag like you said, which can cause the LVC to come on until the draw is reduced. LVC is a hard cuttoff to prevent damage to the battery from unnessassary draw from the battery. LVC should be set to 3.65-3.7 per cell...

Re: Making e-Bike Faster?

Once you reach anything above 40mph however you REALLY need to think about seriously upgrading parts, mainly motor/battery, controller, your wheels/rim (moped/motorcycle) and frame/suspension (DH/Mountain Bike). Getting to 35mph is a fairly easy task but getting to 50mph is a challenge if you try to...

Hi Mik, Welcome to endless sphere! Il try to solve your problems with various solutions so bare with me if it gets outa hand :P 1. Most of the power is limited by your bikes motor controller. I have x2 3 LED Spot Crees that have diffusers on the front (white plastic bags) to disperse the light like a flood but still retain the spot light. It works better than I thought it would... I appreciate the advice. Last night I actually took some ATF fluid and put 400ml in there to see what would happen. And it didn't overheat. Although it did leak out the axel so I guess I have to work on sealing that today. Il probably go out and get a BBQ temp or something and put it on the stator. ...

Overheating Crystalyte 5403

So I have a problem with running too much power into hub motors that weren't made for that type of power :P So, i've been pushing my Crystalyte 5403 pretty hard, peaking with 10kw of power (72v 150amp) and after a while the motor will begin to tick/click. The watts in is alot higher than the the wat...

Re: HobbyKing Turnigy 20C lipo after 1 year, 200+ cycles

I have a 18s 12ah Turnigy battery purchased in June of 2013 with about 250 cycles on it. I pull alot from it (10kw) and even though im probably going to replace it sooner or later, it still runs fine. 8ah from 75.5v to 67.5 right now. My voltage drop at 10kw with a 20c right now is about a 5-6v drop.

Re: Please help the the ebike going!

There is a small red wire called the ignition that comes out of the controller. Connect this to the positive power source (IE the positive on the battery).
