Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

looks like a solid "AVOID" to me https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=96264&start=100 Im interested in a new sinewave controller ~80A which will run a 22S battery, something like the new stealth one would be AOK for me. Has anyone priced one up? I think my cutout problem may be du...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

With the hub motor and lots of unsuspended mass, when the bike is in the air , and the suspension starts to extend after compression, the heavy mass of the hub motor tends to push the bike to extend upwards instead of the wheel going down wards. Thats why slowing down the rebound for off road purpo...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I'm still experimenting with adjustments to my shock. It seems like the more I adjust the rebound damping toward fast, the smoother it rides, especially at higher speeds.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Some more "quality" from stealth. My aluminium side plates have become unbonded from the steel parts. The "carbon fibre" wrap is shit and I refuse to do all the work of removing the side plates and their aluminium innards, cleaning them up and then wrapping them in more cheap crap. Hence ordered a ...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

You got to love the way Texas treats eBikes. When I got downtown to the Trump rally, the police had set up barricades to block traffic. Since to whole street was blocked, I rode past the barricades on the wrong side of the street, and rode a block further to more barricades. There were at least 50 p...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Theo WOW I'm surprised - my CA today shows Max 78A and typically hot off the charger ~90V >6000W and rarely if ever goes below 5500W even down at 78V under load. I haven't played with the CA settings , even if you could I dont think you can go higher than the max amps the controller will run anyway...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Since we're talking battery's, how would you rate this one I bought last December? It's had one hot summer season behind it now, and so far so good, I think. Since new it would come off the charger at 84v, but an hour later it would drop to about 83.8v and sit there another day maybe, and drop to 83...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Thanks for your comments about adjusting the shock CD. That agrees with what I was thinking. I started out in the middle, then tried 3 clicks slower, and 3 more clicks slower. I rode it like that for about a year. Recently I tried 3 clicks on the fast side of the middle, and decided it rides a littl...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Does anyone know if a heavy stealth rear wheel tends to need, faster, or slower rebound damping?

I'm guessing that because of the weight, you're going to say faster?

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

This is all the way both directions. I have about 100 miles experience evaluating this dropper post now. Even though they're not specifically designed for motor bicycle use, motor bicycles are a perfect application.

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Since I can lift my seat up to pedal better, my plan last night was to leave early, and pedal all the way downtown, 20 miles with no power. With only 19 2/3 miles to go, I finally gave up on that stupid plan, sheez :(

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I rode downtown last night to the critical mass ride. 40 miles round trip, not including about 10 miles on the train. Everyone was real entertained by my moveable seat. I'm getting pretty good at working it already, but when it's up, I got to remember to drop it down before I come to a stop, or it g...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I rode around a little bit just now testing the seat in different positions. Just like reviewers say, it's very easy to control the speed of the up, and down on the fly. It feels like a hydraulic office chair. If you unweight your butt a little bit, the seat helps you up. With your weight on the sea...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

I finally finished installing my dropper seat post. I haven't actually ridden with it functioning yet, but I rode about 20 miles with it all the way down. Being 3" higher feels different to me, but I think I can get used to it. I ran the cable through the frame, but I used an external seat post to d...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Before and after look at my taillight mounting, and dropper seat post. All other things being the same, the seat now sits 3" higher in the saddle than before when all the way down. I can still touch both feet down at once, but it's only because my big fat a$s squashes the shock down enough to do it....

This is what I've accomplished after all day. This taillight bracket only cost me about 0.34 cents to make, not counting the rejects, but if you want me to make you one it'll cost you $750. :o

Here's an exclusive, just for us, first look from inside the secretive biknut skunk works of my new Fox Dropper external 4" seat post. Not fully installed yet, lacking the cable, and lever. This is all the way down. Not quite as low as I would like, but haven't tried it yet. I don't think you could ...
