Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

I told PV this...I like your black shells better than the silver/grey ones we get. Black is just prettier. Do you paint them or are they anno'd? Ever look at intercoolers for cars? They have been bare aluminum for many years...not overly pretty. Then somebody painted one black and discovered black ...

Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

I'm going to put my pride on the shelf and admit that you have a very valid point, EG. I've updated my website and removed all references to claimed wattages, and noted continuous and max current for each of these controllers. The last thing I want is to deceive anyone. I do think I have a great pro...

Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

Gotta love the blatant false advertising! Who reads the fine print? West coast REALLY needs to fix their waaaaay over the top advertising! 6kw on a 12 fet controller...uh...yeah...not going to happen. 10kw on an 18 fet...same. Those are flat out maximums with zero room for anything to go wrong. OK....

Re: Sine Wave Controllers 6FET/12FET/18FET

These are a simulated sine wave but very well done. DD hub motors run virtually silent and the power density is really impressive for their size. About the only controllers more power dense are the Adaptto, or the phase runner, considering it's miniscule size.

Re: MXUS 3K Turbo (V3) 45mm Direct Drive Hub Motor

Not sure if anyone saw my post above....where does one buy one of these motor's these days? The email address on the MXUS website bounces, most of the Alibaba/Aliexpress listings are dubious at best, and all the other alternatives are quite pricey. Anyone? Cheers I don't buy from MXUS anymore, but ...

Anyone know where to get torque arms for this motor? And at a reasonable price?
Post a picture of your bike's drop-out, and maybe we can make some recommendations.

Thx for the info..but id like to get a freewheel with notches so that i can use a removal tool to get them off easily. Re: "Edge" DD hubmotor, 1500W, 35mm, Al core

I've been pairing the 4T and 6T windings of these motors with my 6FET irfb3077 controllers that put out about 30A. Running them on a 48V-15AH Hailing XL pack of 13S5P Samsung 30Q cells. This combination is rock solid, and a whole lotta fun. I run the 4T (11Kv) on a 26" tire and the 6T (~8.5Kv) on a ...

Nope. 1604 is the month & year. April 2016.
The winding is not indicated in the serial number, but it should be hand written on the stator. Have to pull a cover off to see it.

It's a fun ride, and light. Pulled 16.6A out of my 15A rated motor. 800W peak seems adequate for where I will be riding this.

Re: What is your favorite 500W-3000W Direct Drive Hub Motor?

You don't need as much power as you think you do, unless you want to have senseless "fun". If cost is negligible, and bike handling/performance is not otherwise hindered by additional power, I say why the hell not. You don't have to use the power. - But you've got it if you want it. I can think of ...
