Re: Do these cables cause problems?

You might try picking up a usb to serial adapter. The software for the adapter will allow you to assign virtual com ports, which may or may not help to resolve your issue. I had luck doing this under similar circumstances, albeit completely unrelated to e-bikes. That said, the only thing I know abo...

Do these cables cause problems?

Hi all I have an APT controller and the darn thing wont connect to the software. I followed all of the steps..COM port etc but in the program itself the controller status and settings dont show up. Im thinking of buying different cables rather than the ones that were included. Its kind of hard to fi...

Re: Quick question for Sabvoton experts

I'm not an expert and don't have the bluetooth app but use PC version. For max speed startup you want I select Boost start, which I'm guessing is the same as Hard start. Thanks...there is Boost and Hard Start . very strange It is, I reckon Hard start should be boost start: Boost mode: if boost mode...

Re: APT controller software???

Well, all the programs i’ve tried work. Could be your cable, cable driver, wrong com port, some windows 10 incompatibility etc. No one will be able to help you without more info. Yes i will try to fix it over the weekend. Im using Win10 and i chose the correct port. Could be the cable? But when i p...

Of course there is. You had found the reverse firing order, now you know the forward is only a few steps away. By swapping 2 phases you reverse the firing order, then you only need to find which halls you have to swap to have a match.
Ok thanks!

Re: Does this make sense?

Reverse polarity is not the way to solve the problem. You have the wrong phase/hall combo and it is easy to correct. First make sure that your controller does not have a learning function and hadn’t been fooled by moving the wheel backward when first plugged. Controllers that have a learning functi...

APT controller software???

Does anyone have a function APT program for these controllers that actually work. I browsed all over and in the 96600 there are a couple but they are giving me problems and /or not opening.
The info etc are making it frustrating for sure
Thanks in advance!!

Re: Programming APT AE96600 controller (update: NOT recommended, unstable program)

Attached is the manual I used. Connecting the "B1" port as they label it, was the key to getting mine to turn on. I believe the wire was pink on mine. Assuming yours is the same, it will need connected to your battery source to turn on. Ideally through some sort of switch so you can turn ...

Re: Programming APT AE96600 controller (update: NOT recommended, unstable program)

@ebike I believe it is 120. However, QSMotor has suggested to me to use 96v nominal, and 110v max when fully charged. This was suggested to me for my 96800, but I'm pretty sure it'd be the same for the 96600. Ok thanks! I also looking for a wiring chart for the apt100900 May i ask which wiring char...

Re: Water cooled controllers

I'd say it depends. How much room do you have in the frame to upgrade to a larger controller? Motorcycle? Car? For an ebike, I'd say thats its not worth it. For a car/truck conversion, I do believe its a great option to have. For a motorcycle, it could go either way. Zero is getting great results w...

Thanks for the links...very useful! Hope some of it helps - any feedback from anyone would be good The Sevcon looks good though more expensive, there are some write ups here and the setup looks complicated £545 ($770) plus £270 ($380) for a CAN bus dongle that they say is essential Software and lic...

Water cooled controllers

Hi all
I see a few of these types on aliexpress. They basically have 2 brass nipples sticking out from the end of the controller.
Would it be a huge benefit to do this or is it more a gimmick?
What do you connect to the brass ports..hose...??
Looked around but didnt see too much info
Thanks

Looking for a high voltage controller..most are 72V and 96V Was looking at the yuyang king 120v but seems to be sold out on a few sites. Dont see too many around that can handle over 30s. I’d guess 150V
3V is far too little margin
Yeah...so technically you could go higher than 127V?

Re: Wanted..120~160V controller

It’s likely because 100V is a nominal and preferred voltage, 127V an absolute max and if your controller breaks at this voltage then it could be due to a voltage peak that is outside of the component rating, so not necessarily a true controller fault. The closer the voltage is to the absolute max, ...

Re: Wanted..120~160V controller

Pressure is chinglish for voltage. I guess google translate translates their word like this. In this chart i guess it means max absolute useable voltage. 127/4.2 would be full charged 30S lipo battery. i see..why would the controller be listed as 100V controller but also 127V? i assume youre correc...

Re: Wanted..120~160V controller

600A is phase current. I can’t set more than 250A battery current on my controller but i think this is a block in the firmware in QS delivered 96600, that’s not the true limit. i’ve seen them advertised on alibaba with 420A peak/200A continuous dc current. 4A8FE870-2C2B-4DF4-BDF3-EF261496716B.jpeg ...
