Re: Rip out my value stem and crashed

Yee know what would be cool?
A dye you can add once you know about a puncture, so you can clearly see where the air is escaping a normal tube even from a pinhole because those are the worst, and so maybe adding green slime would help but I dont like the mess.

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

Heat damages things especially electronic components, its common sense man. You could just have an external controller that is very small yet powerful. Base, Phase and Frank-runners are small and powerful if you can afford it. https://ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicycle-parts/controllers.html It would b...

Re: Do you use male or female on your controllers battery wires?

Great point, wall outlets are female. 1) Do you use male or female on your battery controller whether be xt's or bullet connectors? Think of your wall outlets, and whether they are better as they are, as sockets, or whether having hot prongs extending out from the wall would be better. Done with the...

$90 ouch, but quality tool compared to the cheaper, not as accurate Jagwire tension tool at 1/3 the price. For a local bicycle shop, would those guys use one or would it be more personal preference and a coin flip on whether they had one or not in the repair shop? Spoke tensioning tool wouldnt work ...

Re: Do you use male or female on your controllers battery wires?

So you (SM/Luna) are using an inbetween connector adpater with mixed of XT60 for charger side of the adapter and XT90 for the battery side of the adapter.... to charge the battery. Am I reading that and understanding that correctly? Another adapter to not mess that connection up, but you cant lose t...

Ok thanks for the heads up, if the car isnt too small and has a good safety record from the institutes that do testing I will put it on my list. I am willing to go heavier car, bigger car for safety at the expensive of fuel. I have looked at 2's on the road and dismissed them outright. No, I sat in ...

The stock rim that came with that 2017-2019 Trek Verve 1 hybrid are Bontrager Connection rims (and it says 622x20 on the rim, I measured 25mm outer width. The rim tire charts dont affect me for tire size going from 20 to 18mm inner width. The stock tires are Bontrager H5, 700x45c which I found very ...

You pulling a Louis Rossman? He did diodes on UPP packs. Check out the story on his channel. I dont know the story, but he was doing 2 packs in parallel to increase ah/wh but rectifier or diodes or something. I just unplug the empty battery and plug in the full battery, but I am 36v and 48v. I would...

What year and model of Mazda is it? I have been looking at the 3, 4, 5 and 6, 3 is to small, prob 4cyl, Mazda 6 is 6cyl but more spacious for tall folks like myself. Sale on 32h rims + Are Alex Ace-18 Rim 700C 32h any good? + Lacing soon to come

I am just wondering if the Alex Ace-18 rim 700c is a half decent rim? Looks to have some decent depth by the looks of the 26" model. Must be an older model as I dont see it on the Alex site. https://alexrims.com/product-category/wheels/road-wheels/ I need machined sides. This is for the rear wi...

Re: Bizarre, yet reliable and robust CVT transmission design.

Don't skimp on the motor, thats good advice no matter what the application is, like ebikes or ev's, skateboards, stand up scooters. Just means your wasting money if your motor is not powerful enough, if your lucky when swapping that your batteries can stay.

High discharge is nice to have, without gobs of paralleling (18650) and gobs of connections (tab welds/18650) and gobs of weight (LTOs, lifepo4's) and gobs of bulk (LTO's, lifepo4) Also remember custom shapes that can fit your battery into smaller places, small cylindricals help without big square t...

I never looked into it prior, may look into it now but someone does need to come up with a cvt that you can tow with, even just a couple dirt bikes or a kodiak blow up boat with hard bottom. Re: Which would you use?

I use XT90's every single day. Wires are 12awg, maybe a random one is 10awg, I find 10awg about the limit for me to solder a XT90. Anything bigger conductor wire (lower gauge wire) and I would have to concentrate a bit harder and have a steadier hand and I would probably slightly melt a housing or t...

Sounds like fake news to me, I'd need more proof that a certified mechanic didnt fix it up a little to make the story more appealing or that little to no major work or expensive parts werent conviently forgotten to write a story to get paid for.
