Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Looks intriguing but who knows how refined the torque sensing will be. Seems like there is a wide variation among "torque sensing" drives. Hi Tom, the torque sensor is very refined. Comparing to a bottom bracket torque sensor is a different world. I'm not saying that because we're selling it, but t...

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Will there be a motor only 500-750W tier? How would the pedal and power delivery feel compared to a TSDZ2 if you had a chance to test? Looking for a lightweight torque sense middrive. Yes, please find here all the available versions: Lightest - Summary Chart jpg.jpg The pedal and power delivery com...

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Looks good Matteo! When do you think they will be ready to ship? Are the batteries 21700 cell or 18650? Not clear if it has gone through the Indiegogo campaign cycle yet? Thanks BigWheel! The campaign will start soon, the target was within the end of the month but bad weather is slacking the video ...

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

Do you need a crank with freewheel for this? Can you use any kind of battery? What's the maximum voltage? Yes, there's a crank with freewheel included in the kit. Yes, you can use any kind of battery, just mind the voltage settings of the different versions. The 1000W version comes with the ASI BAC...

Re: 1.7kg 1000w mid drive

HI, I'm Matteo, founder of Bikee Bike which developed the " Lightest" ebike kit. I'm here to give you further info and to answer your questions. About the shields: those are currently made in Aluminum alloy, but looking at the magnesium option as well. We could shave off additional 200g. We tested t...

I can't understand if the new Evolution model has a true torque hardware sensor or not.
Could you clarify?
Yes, it has a true hardware torque sensor.

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Hi Walter, it's obvious you a have a strong bias when you say that the Bikee Bike motor feels less powerful than the bafang BBHDS when the BEST has a peak power consumption of 2500W at 48V and 3500W at 72V. Plus, all major brands are getting their smartphone display. Anyway we also have the push but...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Matteo, Could you tell me the BCD of the smaller chainring? I am contemplating a belt drive and it seems to me the mounting pattern for both chainrings is proprietary. I was wondering if a Bafang adapter either for the classic or HD might work. The smaller chainring is proprietary and has a custom ...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

I'm talking about the final gear on the BBS02 and other drives that protrude to the right and causes the need for offset in the pedals.. i think it would be possible to shave some precious millimeters off something like a BBS02. ~5mm of outwards offset could be reduced. The motor and primary gear r...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Hi Neptronix, actually our PAS system works pretty well. We dedicated two years of refinement to get a natural feeling. We have a driving mode which is Torque Sensor emulator which is very close to the feeling that a real torque sensor gives you. It has no lag when you start pedaling and when you st...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Otherwise i would have jumped all over your mid drive, because i really like the design of it. neptronix: We have a new motor coming out, perhaps that will work for you. It's an OEM motor, so it requires custom frame, but if you can manage to do some modification to an existing frame, then you can ...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

It's been on my shopping list for quite a while, it is the fact that it's offset to one side that prevented me from getting it already. Andre, both sides are offset and the crankarms are at a symmetrical distance from the bike center line. The Q factor is increased of 2 inches in total comparing to...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

I agree with you about the fine science about motor rating. We consider the continuous rating the power at which the motor can run without increasing the winding temperature more than 2 celsius degrees per hour, having the same wind speed you'd have with the a 44t - 11t gear combination, at an outsi...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

@Tommm, the motor he's referring to is the 1500w. We label the motor with the true continuous power output at the chainring (torque * speed ) , not with the peak power consumption ( V * I) of the battery. That is how motor manufacturer are supposed to rate their motors. So the 1500w motor can delive...

Re: Bikee Bike final review

Hi Walter, despite of all the things you said, at the end you kept the motor even if we offered a full refund, so you must have found something good enough to keep it rather than buying two BBSHD motors. From the final email you sent to me, you said that you were only 60% satisified with the motor, ...

I meant that the sound goes away when the pedals are spinnin...in sync with the bell. That's what happens when you pedal.

Re: Bikee Bike motor build

Walter, thanks for taking the opportunity to update the firmware and test again the system. So you got 38amps x 83.5 Volts = 3150W . Not bad for a 1500W motor. What's the cyclone max speed? Did you get that if the pedal spins the noise goes away? That's the 200Nm dog clutch making the clicking sound...

Re: Bikee Bike motor build

Hi yes that helps, thanks. I've been able to get in touch with the firmware engineer (on holiday) and he said that that version of the firmware is for the 1000W motor. So it's limiting the max power to 25 amp. Walter was right, that's our mistake. So if he has the chance, we'll be able to send the n...

Re: Bikee Bike motor build

Walter. That seems strange . The motor is either working or not. There's no such a thing as reduced power. If I understand correctly the max speed you achieved with the 20s configuration is 27mph with a max amp draw of 25 amps. That makes 1800W which is way less than the motor is supposed to give yo...
