Re: Ruined $150 Shimano Deore hydraulic brakes

What about dual brakes? One method is dual disc brakes, to help ease the heat buildup. Needs to have flanges on either side of the hub, more costly. Could do that front and rear. Also use quality disk pads from a known entity (bike store) not generic pads and not from an unknown source like most of ...

Re: Is Portland ebike friendly?

Prices going up, but still pretty cheap. The key would be to find out if its average increase in price compared to all other counties in the country. I wouldnt buy to rent out, key there is to cluster your portfolio close, and each state is diff laws for kicking tenants out as some can milk the syst...

Re: Moped gangs with machetes target London's cyclists

A nail clipper or Dollarama pliers with a wire cutter at the pivot nets thieves a bike. Just like the tourist mountain towns in Alberta (Banff/Jasper) Its pretty amazing actually, very nice $1k+ bicycles with a cable lock. Once, years ago, the rc's nabbed a uhaul on the highway full of stolen bicycl...

In general I'm saying hence plural OP = OP's

Go direct drive and use regen braking for planned braking and use brake pads for quicker response.

Re: Materials for DIY Battery Bag

Maybe go to Army Surplus stores to see what they have, if you want a parachute type material.
Those Army Surplus stores are always cool to visit and see what they have, but its usually all expensive.

Fabric stores have pvc and other plastic type fabrics.

Please visit Amsterdam, the bicycle friendly city.
I didn't like London to much when I visited.
Pound out the tourist thing as quickly as possible and move on.

And there is the problem.

All to often OP's are not clear and often vague and hardly clear it up or come back in some cases.

Another reason to buy f-ugly bicycles.

In the UK they GPS their motorcycle and mopeds, even have companies that track them down for ya but the unarmed fuzz are to busy half to time to help out.

Yes, pay like an amusement ride. Time of ride happens on my terms, not sitting around wasting time waiting for something to happen. In the case of a Tornado, its actually a thing, the general public does pay a chaser to find tornado's. Maybe when I retire and roam around in a moving home on wheels a...

Rip proof fabric was $30-40/meter (Canadian $) from major retailer Fabricland as of a week ago. Jean material for a patch job was the same price, but bought $4/meter fabric and never used it as I stitched through iron on patch, for lined jeans. Have to stitch a good, heavy winter jackets hood that r...

Thought you were afraid of Lipo. Dont worry about your bike man. Moving sucks, paid Got Junk guys $1k for 1 + 1/8 truck load to dump stuff, but they probably made $500 off the stuff we junked. Why not roll around with a bottle of water to cool the brakes, just have a rubber hose taped to the bicycle tube so it can drip water, after you brake turn the lever of water.

Are you hooking up the lights to the battery (title) or the lcd (post) ?

You can hook as many lights and load up the battery as much as you want, how long the light shines until the battery is drained or battery bms lvc kicks in is the other question.

Depends on how fast your riding, up hills, wind, weight, but yeah you should get more the that. What could it possibly be? If its not damage to the battery itself. I messed up my torque arm today. I had a flat so I decided to see if I could find the leak, couldnt. Put the hub back on and it wasnt deep enough and spun. I saved it in time. But it bent the t.a. so had to suffer and pedal to the train and walk up the 3km slight hill as my gears suck. I did not rea...
