Fait Amusant

You aware of the earthquake risk in Montreal?
Just listened to a talking head on the radio, and most people do not realize the earthquake potential. Which is why only 3% of Montrealers have earthquake insurance.

Re: Quick 220

One thing about the Quick 220, is I can get the 220-240V but its only 20A because the wall outlets are 120V 20A.

https://youtu.be/1hmtxWyOzIk?t=74

So yeah Lincoln welder will need more then 20A thats a given.

Gotta spend more money!

The power of choice and impulse buying.

Grocery Stores - Give the consumer too many choices and customer will not buy, give the customer a handful of choices you will get sales.

Good morning all. Looking at a $200 Specialized FSR on CL. Would this frame accommodate a Cyclone or BBSHD? 00p0p_17tVb3Hes8v_1200x900.jpg Tons of room for mid drive in front of crank. Only thing your missing is triangle space above the crank for say a battery pack triangle bag, but thats not a hug...

Re: Quick 220

Here are some pictures and my initial plan. Dryer vent, as you can see in the pictures, is 240V 30A, but welder needs more then 30A, I believe, will double check. The black circuit breaker is the Holmes on Homes circuit protector for lightning strikes. I was thinking to wire into that and save some ...

On the market now - 150 miles on 10 minute charge. But you pay for it, which nets you a 400 mile pack. Then he talks about Solid State batteries in which 500 miles for 1 minute charge. But the news anchor misheard and stated 700 miles for 1 minute charge. Which will take a very many years, if at all...

Re: Would a wind powered car work?

I think a hybrid car is where its at, battery powered and i.c.e. powered. So you are not limited to range anxiety. The next move forward would be high charge rate batteries, and a range of say 50 miles on one charge would cover 75% of the commuters. For myself I wouldnt mind an ev built by me to do ...

Be extra careful with them LiPo's. iCharger would be ideal, but has a higher cost. HobbyKing sells Balance Chargers - Just dont buy a low wattage unit, find something that can charge up your LiPo's in a half decent time. So you are looking for 6S Charger https://hobbyking.com/en_us/0620-20a-300w-bal...

Re: 5S2P - Strange Problem - Two Low V Pairs

There is no BMS, its strictly 18650 in a 5S2P config, so I measured a few things. A) Each paralleled paired group, or 1S, at Vmax is 4.20V B) Entire 5S2P at Vmax is 21.00V C) Then I measured every 2S, which at Vmax is 8.40 *But realize this pack was at some voltage not Vmax, I'd assume each can was ...

This one looks pretty small, maybe you could shed a couple pounds off it. Stash it in your trailer if your going on long distance cross country ebiking, so you are not stranded with no outlet between towns, thats what I am thinking anyways. http://www.getearthquake.com/inverter-generator-800-watt 40...

5S2P - Strange Problem - Two Low V Pairs

What interests me the most is the first module. New Battery in DMM and solid contact with leads. These two modules Z and Y were paralleled, that is why they are so similar. MODULE Z - Can save four 18650's maybe six. I measure entire 5S2P group and I get 5.40V and moves down slowly, never stable. I ...

Well if I were you, I would open the battery pack up when you get it and look it over, look at the welds or solder joints, if it has a BMS look at that also. You realize its a gamble, and you know the dangers, pls read the thread about an ES members home burning down because of an "great deal" Aliex...

Re: houston, we have puffing. this is a bad battery, correct?

I would take it to a Firehall that takes in that sort of thing. I dumped my remaining LiPo's off there. The place by me had paints and oils you could also drop off. Which reminds me I have a Ziplock bag full of primary batteries that need to be dropped off. Off Topic - After I fix the problem with m...
