Please help to identify controller connectors ( pinouts )

Hi guys, hopefully someone can point me into right direction. I got this 8fun controller that I would like to use on my bike, but I'm not sure what is what ( pinout ) One of the connectors (top) seems to be splittable with additional cable, splits into Display / Throttle / Brake switches I don't see...

Re: bluetooth BMS?

I have a question to Smart BMS owners about balancing. Let's say I set BMS balance voltage to 4.05V but charge the battery to 4.2V, is it going to always bleed down all cells to 4.05V or is it going to balance as long as it's charging? Either way if charger will be set at 4.2 v per cell BMS will try...

Watt or Ah Meter Options?

Been using CA 2.4 for last 5 years and really like used Ah meter where I know precisely how much juice I have left. Now building my second bike and planning on using S12S with LCD3, however I believe the only measure is the battery bar which is not good enough for estimating range. What are other op...

How many miles on your e-bike?

And what's your story? :) Mileage: 6000 Bike: Montague Paratrooper 26" Folding Bike MAC 10T, 9fet Infineon set to 17amps, 14S6P 18650, max speed 32mph, ordered hpc bag for my diy batteries. Re: Ideas about charging batteries

Allright, I think I came up with the solution.

Buy a charger that would still bulk charge to 4.05 x 14 = 56.7v and charge them off the bike only when going for longer rides. Sounds like a good compromise.

Ideas about charging batteries

I run 2 x 7S6P Tesla 18650 packs on my ebike in series for total 14s6p. Since I ride a lot, Im getting tired taking them off the bike, bringing them inside, charging them and putting them back on the bike, so maybe you guys can share with experience about alternative and more convenient ways to char...

Re: Battery Efficiency Question 56v vs 32v

Allright, turns out my riding style and the way I use Polaris was the problem. I'm used to use throttle on MAC 10T bike, however, Polaris is just very inefficient with it having a small DD motor. If I do pedal assist only on Polaris, all the readings are good 18wh/m same route and conditions, but as...

Re: Battery Efficiency Question 56v vs 32v

Nope, CA is on bike one, which has MAC 10T
Bike two - Polaris, I can only measure what I have used by charging back the battery with iCharger and noting Ah.

Re: Battery Efficiency Question 56v vs 32v

Yup, I understand that. Let's assume the issue is within the bike, what could be wrong with it? Heck its production bike and Polaris is bragging about it being very efficient in their videos. It is using direct drive part of the motor while going at 20mph, and if it's very high wind motor, could it ...

Re: Battery Efficiency Question 56v vs 32v

Completely flat ! all pavement, both ridden at 20mph.

Top speeds:
bike 1: 35mph
bike 2: 20mph limited by factory, so I don't know the wind count of the motor, but feels like it could go way faster. Maybe around 260 - 320.

Battery Efficiency Question 56v vs 32v

Allright having a problem here. Two bikes, two different voltage batteries, both ridden the same. The bike with 56v system averages 18wh/m The bike with 32v system averages 30wh/m Am I missing something why there is such a difference? Bike one: Mac 10T in 26" | 15A max | 56v, 8AH = averages 18wh/m @...

Right BT-C3400 is all over the place with results, very unreliable and heats up the batteries even at 0.5A disharge. Would not suggest to anyone. Yes iChargers are awesome !

Re: Tesla 18650 question

https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/H8hErJ0.png Allright, managed to hook up 206B to the laptop and attach the temp sensor. The only 18650 holder I had was cheap chinese one with thin wires, that explains the voltage sag, however, my goal was to check the temperature. So here is the discharge graph at 3.5A....

Re: Tesla 18650 question

Okey, discharged another one at 3A and did not noticed any difference in heat. I'm assuming that it's just a working temperature. I can keep my fingers on it as long as I want, it's hot but not burning. Too bad i don't have a IR temp meter.

Tesla 18650 question

Hi guys, got a tesla module and took it apart, measured some cells, comes up at 3000 - 3050mah - good, however, when discharging at 1A, which is what, like 0.3C, cells do get hot. Does anyone has experience with these cells? I had an impression that I could do at least 1.5C to 2C without them being ...
