Re: From BBS01 to a Qulbix Raptor 140

First off its a 161h.....i guess you talk about the lighter one. The LMX is a total different world. For commuting my Raptor build was way better, but only for that. It was silent, maintenance free, it had a lot of range due to the big battery, just sit on it and eat kilometers. You only need a new ...

So you actually drove in wet conditions, that explains it now.

Yeah it cant escape when its mounted this way.

It sucks, hope you can get it repaired.

RIP

Did 25000km with my Raptor, but the constant fear of being caught was bothering me too much.
Got myself a LMX.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Nah, I do like these light weight Sur Rons and LMX. I don't have room for a full size motor bike, I need to carry my LMX up and down stairs to my storage. It will be way more expensive also, and you need a real driving license for big bikes I guess, at least here in Germany. The LMX and Sur Ron I ca...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

ferrofluid is still experimental. This. It's OK for DIY, but not for aftermarket use to last longer than some months, it won't. I use my bikes for commuting, so I put a fairly amount of miles on it and ff won't last long. It will fade quickly, the first miles are great but then the motor will heat ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

80 cells, even that was bothering me in the end, i cant imagine what it means to carry a whole sur ron pack period.
I noticed slowly increasing shoulder and back pain.
Its not just the battery, on top you add your normal stuff.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I am 85kg, bike must be heavier than the sur ron with my 380cell battery, also always street commuting, but a little faster, mainly 40-70kmh and still i dont reach your consumption when i dont go crazy. But i read before that the sur ron isnt the most efficient ebike, at least stock. 50km with your ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I remember someone printed a sur ron case few pages back, if im not too wrong. Maybe thats something for offroader. I also have a 380cell pack in my raptor without spacers or cellholders, the pack runs for 18000km so far and just works. Is it safer with cell holders, no doubt about it. the range on ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

True. I was thinking mainly as a reserve, in case you misjudge your range and need just a little more range to get home. Plus, it's hard to find small 60V batteries that you could run in parallel. Most are 52V or 72V. And then you'd have to deal with the umbilical cord to the battery from your bag ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

So, if the main battery runs out of power you want to attach the mini battery?

You get more range when you connect both batteries at the beginning..... less v sag, more range.

Adaptto Midi E + BMS (Sold)

Im selling my backup Midi E with the BMS. I once broke the display from my other running midi e and the seperate display was out of stock everywhere. So i bought a complete, used midi e, so i can ride again. Now the left over controller is laying around unused and i want to sell it. So if you have a...

Re: From BBS01 to a Qulbix Raptor 140

I dont know if its an error, with my max e i did only 7000km and then switched to the midi e. So about 17000km combined, with several hubmotors. Merlin dein Qulbix war was für die Vitrine, sowas darf man nicht verkaufen. Ich fahre immer nur den Raptor, ausser ich habe was zu transportieren. Ic...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Its fine now, so its not related to any wiring or layout issues, i didnt change a thing on the battery. Its the bms/setting related. I got this pattern when i chose the balance v setting to low...... it developed over time back then. Had this issue a year or 2 ago. Maybe it was just MY bms..... who ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

The 25r are 20s19p, now way i drained them to much. These are short bursts anyway, all you guys with high power ebikes know this. You cant go wot for long periods. With 120A battery drain i have only 6A per cell max. and i never went above that if i remember. They just behave different than other 18...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Martin its quite complicated. With 15000km you have a variety of situations. Sometimes i charge with 2kw, or at work (mainly) with 0,9, but i never ever discharged them to 2,5V. At 95% of the time the cells are from 3,5 to 3,9V. The first 5000km i had a max e and was draining the battery heavily, no...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

With 18650 cells you really should hardly ever need to balance. Only if theyre new.....got 15000 km on my Raptor battery out of samsung 25r and yes they drift more and more. At some point the adaptto bms cant catch up with the drift and you have to do it manually from time to time. 2019-01-14-00-31...
