Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Now i can laugh too, but it wasnt funny when it occurred.....the drift only knew one direction...... it got worse and worse.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Its fine now, so its not related to any wiring or layout issues, i didnt change a thing on the battery. Its the bms/setting related. I got this pattern when i chose the balance v setting to low...... it developed over time back then. Had this issue a year or 2 ago. Maybe it was just MY bms..... who ...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

The 25r are 20s19p, now way i drained them to much. These are short bursts anyway, all you guys with high power ebikes know this. You cant go wot for long periods. With 120A battery drain i have only 6A per cell max. and i never went above that if i remember. They just behave different than other 18...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Martin its quite complicated. With 15000km you have a variety of situations. Sometimes i charge with 2kw, or at work (mainly) with 0,9, but i never ever discharged them to 2,5V. At 95% of the time the cells are from 3,5 to 3,9V. The first 5000km i had a max e and was draining the battery heavily, no...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

With 18650 cells you really should hardly ever need to balance. Only if theyre new.....got 15000 km on my Raptor battery out of samsung 25r and yes they drift more and more. At some point the adaptto bms cant catch up with the drift and you have to do it manually from time to time. 2019-01-14-00-31...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Personally, regen is pointless unless you can actually control it with a button, because sometimes you just want to cruise - using the kinetic energy and sometimes you want to brake. Thats my personal downside of the sur ron. I can live with less power and speed but im so used to regen, since i wan...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

12kw.....i wanted to compare it to the power level of the sur ron..... and even i was slightly above. Of course you can get higher consumption with 12kw and going hard. That wasnt my intention. With 12kw the sur ron will hit 100wh/mile easily i guess. To me it seems that the sur ron uses more wh tha...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Ok back home, i couldn't go faster or dumber and i couldnt reach 70wh/mile..... only got 62 with 80amps @ 20s and field weakening. I forgot to up the power, but its already more than the sur ron. And under this circumstances, (i was braking and accelerating all the time) the middrive should outperfo...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

over 70wh/mile holy sh....
I doubt i ever reached that consumption with my hubbies, even with more volts and amps.
Will do a hard ride home after work and measure what my MXUS will do with 100A/240 @ 20s when i go hard.

Thanks for the measurements.

Re: SUPER SOCO ... no Sur-ron here =)

I was close to ordering a sur ron and saw this....... unfortunately i dont dont own a garage and have to carry my bike one stairway up and down every day.
But with that in mind the sur ron is kind of a rip off.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

That would be a lot.....but i only know these no load numbers from hub motors, maybe its normal for these fast spinning middrives. Another question. Does the internal bms communicate with the controller like some can bus system, or is that just a "dumb" bms that works alone and the controller only g...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Hyena got 60km range without going too slow and 75 in eco mode only, with 1600wh thats 26wh/km or 42wh/mile in semi sport mode or 21wh/km - 34wh/mile in eco. Still not impressive, but not so bad with the stock battery and no pedals and without regen/sine wave. Does anyone have numbers for the sine w...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

With the rear wheel off the ground, full speed, I measured 12.3A. This seems pretty high, but maybe normal for this large of a motor. I'd like to try it with the belt removed sometime to compare. Thats around 700W of no-load consumption which would be indeed pretty high. My heavy hub bike goes over...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

So I came up with a crazy idea. If I used a different controller that could handle 20S, would it hurt the stock pack if I put a 4S 16 amp Multistar in the line to the controller? Would it then be the same as a 20S pack? Maybe it would matter if it was on the positive line or on the negative line? I...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

At the end of the day the pf is a budget cell......anything above 3A per cell will reduce the overall output significantly.
What does the controller pull max?

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I calculated round 1600wh out of 176 pana pf cells till 3V......if you go over 3A per cell, less.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

A hidden switch will do the job. I doubt they bust you when you have it insured and papers. In germany they can take your bike and get it to an inspector/expert, but they usually only do it when youre going crazy and you have nothing. They also wont notice the x controller, when it looks clean and o...

Found a few shops in germany which sell at this price, even one for less (3900) but its preorder and you have to wait till feb.
But the bikes are sold out quick in general.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I like tec thats actually available...... The pana pf gives you 9wh per cell at 2-3A till 3V. (i dont know when the stock bms trips) Times 176=1584wh.(it seems the efficiency isnt that bad when you consider you have only 1,5kw/h usable, i forgot to calculate that properly) With the samsung 35e you g...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I use a moto tire for the mxus and a bike tire for the front..... should be the same with you super moto setup.
