Re: Inokim disassembling, fixing and upgrading

I have the genuine Inokim quick 2 and find the steering hinge has free play that cannot be tightened or eliminated. The seeler says it is part of the design. Very poor for such an expensive scooter, especially considering there are other makes with proper bearing head sets. Has any one else noticed ...

Re: Programming the Bafang Middrive BBS01+BBS02

Hey Guys, What setting programs how long the cut off sensors cut power for? I am using a gear sensor and would like a longer power cut.

Re: BBS02 500W to 750W upgrade

as long as the motor unit is a BBS02 then you can run the 36v500w, 48v500w and 48v750w. I have done bbs02 36v500w converted with a 48v750w controller no issues.

Re: Gear Sensor for Bafang BBS02 Mid Drive *+ other mid-driv

I bought a gear sensor from emax ebikes to run on my bbs02. I find it works really good, some of the issues might be down to individual set up, i.e. programmed delay and how quick or well your drive train is tuned to shift.

Re: New Bafang Crank-Drives

Hi Guys, I was hoping everyone could reply with how many total miles they have had out of their mid drive kits and what/if/when they have any failures. I have a 36v 500w bbs02 with a dead battery and some odd internal noises at 1500 kilometers. I am trying to get an idea of reliability to help me de...

Re: Does this 29er rear hub configuration look workable?

Check your drop out spacing before you order. I tried to do the same with a Canondal SL Trail 29er but the drop outs were 142mm not the stock 135mm. I ended up going middrive because of this.

Re: New Bafang Crank- DRives

will 6s be too much as in the 36v controller will cutt off too late and may go spastic with the extra charged voltage?

Re: New Bafang Crank- DRives

In theory if i have the 500w 36v bafang my current battery is 36v discharged and 42 volt charged.
If that is the case i can buy 2 x 5s lipos and run them in parallel and still have the
right discharge voltage profile for the controller?
Does that sound adequate guys?

Re: New Bafang Crank- DRives

Hi Guys. I have a 36v 500w bafang that has done about 2000klm in 12 months. I ride a 25k one way commute each morning and the battery no longer last the distance. Assuming the issue is the battery and not the extra inefficiency in the motor, i am looking for a new battery. I currently have a 36v 10a...

Re: New Bafang Crank- DRives

Well it looks like the extreme chain-line stretch of the 1x front Bafang CR while on lowest 32T gear on the rear SRAM cassette took out this old Surly Narrow "SP" chain gave up the ghost lickety-split: IMG_4343.jpeg I there any consensus on the best chain to get for our higher-than-human 1x applica...

Re: Bafang BBSxx - fault finding and fixes

Teslanv are you sure that clicking sound wasnt just the freewheel mechanism in the unit and maybe the added grease fromt eh tear down was the fix? Maybe the O-ring was coincidence? Reason why i question is my unit it 300klm old and is making a faint click when applying power and not pedalling just l...

Re: New Bafang Crank-drives

Hi guys, I just install the 36v 500w bagang unit, it is a bbs02 unit. I have it on a 29ner mtb, i find the main chain ring too close to the chain stay, i think this is because of the 46t front ring. Can any one tell me if the machined adaptors out there change the offset of the front ring or do they...

Re: New Bafang Crank-drives

Hi Guys, thanks for al the info, I am moving to a bafang mid drive and have ordered a 36v 500w kit from TNA Battery. This seems like a odd combo but i thought a 36v battery would be cheaper and 500w shoudl be about right for bike path commute. Has any one else out there got the 36v 500w version? mos...
