Re: la Nina rears her ugly head

Mid-June on the Mississippi River in SE MN and it's in the high 60's and low 70's. Last year the 90's with high humidity. A very different summer so far, we're seldom this cool and comfortable!

TSDZ2 5 miles of use $250 OBO

All good! Got the 48v and just never liked it. Always found it difficult to get settings right. Direct from manufacturer. Didn’t have a throttle so they replaced the controller for throttle use. I’m essentially clueless about the versions, and have enough bikes without spending valuable retirement d...

Re: EM3ev, setting the record straight on a few things

They are backed up with sales and business. Making for some unforgiving and downright pissy customers. Shipping time and communication have been the dominant complaints about as long as I've followed EM3ev. I guess us old fellas just don't get as worried when something goes slightly south, especiall...

Re: la Nina rears her ugly head

Incredibly perfect weather in Minnesota. Cool nights, '60s and warm days middle '70s.
Mississippi River still at flood stage and limited barge traffic!

Re: la Nina rears her ugly head

Finally no rain in the forecast for at least a week. Even with the 4+ inches of rain a couple weeks ago, the grass on the hills is still turning brown. My guess is we will have another bad year for fires. Bummer! In my "yoot", I worked for a Helitac team in the Sawtooth Forest. Very wet springs can...

Re: BBSHD Voltage Problem Firmware Update & Instructions

Got it. I'm sorry to read that. We've only flashed the most recent motors that flagged with the 07 error. Up until a month or two, there was no problem.

Rant.

Sadly the energy that has gone into TSDZ2 motors has seemingly never roused the level of excitement with BBSxx mid drives. The purported “game changing” largest importer of Bafang mid drives has held fast to a clearly antagonistic attitude with their own customers as well as the general market. Heck...

It is the age of "I want it yesterday" or "I want it NOW!" with everyone wanting that instant gratification.... ....not receiving a reply, yeah I can understand the frustration. The Amazon effect. Not everyone has a billion dollar infrastructure. The whole story is a bit fishy based on my purchases...

Re: JP spot welder

Welders still available, ready to ship right away! :thumb: I'm ready to buy a spot welder, I just need a little bit of convincing why this is a better option than a sunkko 709a? which would set me back around UK£150 (I'm based in the UK) also whether it's similar/higher/lower spec than the other on...

Re: EM3ev, setting the record straight on a few things

Yeah i recently asked him about a battery and it took 4 days for him to get back to me. In 2014 I thought that the EM3ev business model sucked. I hated waiting. 5 years later my EM3ev batteries have been the most reliable and trouble free. And that's BEFORE the major upgrades in the last year or tw...

BESST Eventually Bafang will completely fart off the small resellers that built their popularity. It’s a love hate relationship. With little, if any, give by Bafang.

Bank transfers can be a PIA!! I've had to provide my BD to the service I use to transfer money. FFS people, this is one of the most reliable builders out there. Neptonix nailed it! We wait until late spring to make orders during the seasons biggest rush. Shit happens.

(BTW - the male counterpart costs the same, so the pair would cost USD 3,76 x 2 = USD 7,52) You have been very fair in keeping the shipping costs down. That is appreciated. The quality of my AK-BBS-5 adapter is second to none. But access to USA source with domestic shipping is non-existent. At leas...

Re: New HIGO and JULET connectors

Unfortunately the price doubles for any small order. Not any one person's fault, but having to order from DE is expensive. Often a single connector or pigtail is needed for a repair.1 AK-BBS-5 adapter I ordered, mini plug to Higo, from DE was worth every penny. Even with the shipping. Being able to ...

Did not have a multi meter connected while riding under load just the readout on the display.
Just a curiosity really. Not likely a battery issue but if it were mine I'd use my multimeter and get a static voltage.
