Re: Can I replace my BBS02 motor core / rotor with a BBSHD?

I wouldn’t based on 7 years of BBSxx sales support.

Re: 72v Build help…

I recently hid the wires in a bag as someone suggested for protection and looks but then was told this is a no no. Why did they think hiding wires in a bag is a no no.....? What else can you do unless you start shortening the connector cables which no sane person would bother to do? The battery is ...

Re: MAC motor worth it?

Anybody running a MAC.... I wiped off all of the grease that came in my MAC motor and then completely covered all of the ring gear with grease to a depth that covered the teeth. The grease I use is Mobil SHC 100. Started using it after a long discussion with one of the petroleum engineers at Mobil ...

I'm a two-arm Grin guy on ALL hubs. IMO it's a wise move. Especially with your 2000W setup.

We thought he might revisit the wiring AWG. And sent him here to a better brain trust of builders.

Re: Lighter weight Battery Pack suitable for Tongsheng TSDZ2B 48 Volt 750 watt

In my recent experience, 21700 cells are better suited to minimalist cell packs. I’m really liking 50E cells. Waiting for NESE winter sale to make the move to home built.

Additional question : do batteries catch fire ONLY when charging (or discharging) ?
Is there any feedback about a battery not charging nor discharging, catching fire spontaneously ?
Damage that pierces a cell or shorts cells can cause a fire.

I heard from the vruzend creator a few months ago. He mentioned a new version but it appears it derailed. A shame really.

Re: c961 error 06

There is no error 76 and Bafang does not make displays. I have a C961 that will NOT work with Bafang motors.

Re: Lighter weight Battery Pack suitable for Tongsheng TSDZ2B 48 Volt 750 watt

I agreed with Doc and actually donated my 48v TSDZ2 to a poor fella living on $600 SS. A life charger for him but my BBS01 36V 350W are a better motor for me. 20 mph with a 250lb guy and 50lbs of groceries. PAS works well for me. But the TSDZ2 hasvtaken a lot of abuse, easily repaired and reliable w...

Do you sell, or are you able to sell any LiFePO cells? Not fussy on the format, (18650, 21700, etc).

Re: Can I replace my BBS02 motor core / rotor with a BBSHD?

We still saw generic non-3077 even though some said they were selling 3077 fitted controllers. Without Bafang ever sharing serial numbers all information is anecdotal and from an importer known to exaggerate.

Re: what multimetre should i choose for present cell mesurement and future home task

I agree with AW that a cheap DMM like the one Harbor Freight used to give away is good enough for ebike and home use. That said, I also own a nice Fluke 89 for when I absolutely must have a spot on measurement (which is exceedingly rare). For me the most important features are; Auto off beeps when ...

Check out other TSDZ2 threads. However, I had an early TSDZ2 and IMO the newer version is a different animal. Much improved.
