Re: streamline fairings?

My intent isn't as much aerodynamics as some winter protection from wind chill.

:bigthumb: How about this 36V TSDZ2 kit? Re: Recommendations for Torque-Sensing Peddle Assist Kit

Id go TSDZ2. Docw009 knows his kits. I’m now back to 36v kits. 20mph is fast enough for me. I’d go for for a better battery but as Docw009 pointed out those salvage battery are maybe a good budget path. Bafang BBSxx series motors have no torque setting. Their new series are not suited for kitting a ...

Re: Mid drive front freewheel mod.

How many ad hominim attacks have you made on me here? I don't put playing cards in my spokes because some one might mistake me for you on your DORKcati. BTW I didn't mention your name, is there some reason you think i meant you? Its what he does. Not worth reading. Disingenuous and best as a foe.

Re: streamline fairings?

Motorcycle touring fairings typically increase drag, because they are designed to form a "bubble" for the rider that is larger in frontal area than the unfaired motorcycle and rider. Vetter Windjammer was definitely designed for rider protection/comfort and not aerodynamic improvements. L...

Sadly an unrealistic budget. A well built battery will eat most of your budget. But a TSDZ2 is s great choice.

Re: Mid drive front freewheel mod.

For anyone who wants to investigate this. 1- The single smalll zip tie will get you in the game, and has a failsafe function. 2- Look at the Shimano FFS videos so you know what to expect. 3- Ease into it. No jumps or dropping off of curbs. See what shifting without pedaling has to offer YOU. 4- A c...

Re: Buying a new battery: your advice sought

18650batterystore(retail side)/Bulkbattery.com(wholesale side) is a good vendor in my experience. I've only had 3 orders with them, but they ship fast and their products and support are spot on. They're my go-to . 50E2 using NESE modules has been the best combination I've used . No worry about spot...

Re: Can you Charge a 60 or 72V Battery Pack with "a" 12V Solar Panel?

Thanks amberwolf. Ok so I got the 12V 100W solar panel (single panel) installed on my roof. Wired them to the MPPT controller I received. Power came on!.. The INPUT voltage shows 19.8~ 19.9V. :) But the scooter will take about a months or less to get here... Will have to wait till I get the scooter...

Re: Buying a new battery: your advice sought

I can’t remember when I’ve read sillier comebacks. “Professional avatar”. After 7 years, age 64-71 I retired from kit sales and support. My second retirement. My first at 57 to relax in Minnesota. So, lets just end it OK? You know you can simply use a FOE setting and never have to be bothered by an ...

Re: Buying a new battery: your advice sought

Those cell prices are high enough too make good professionally built packs available at livable prices. Luna doesn’t build all their packs. They’ve let people believe they do but it’s sadly not accurate. I have welders, test platforms, cells and a dozen or so BMS. But i just don’t see the economy i...

Re: Buying a new battery: your advice sought

Cellman EM3ev was here long before you and for many years the most reliable source. Take a look back into ES history by searching his name and company. The rest isn’t worth taking the bait and taking the piss over. Some here have lots of experience selling, supporting, and even repairing batteries. ...

Re: Bafang BBS02B Speedometer Sensor

This thing was completely potted with some of rigid black stuff. It was actually easier to remove than the translucent gooey silly-shit in the Bafang PAS sensor I recently took apart. Cutting the case off and reducing the connector housing was a bit more challenging. There are only three electronic...
