Re: new eZip motor

My main interest is performance. NOT looks. How do you get F’d up batteries to perform? Where is ONE high performance build? It’s not the look of the boxes as much as the sloppy build quality and cobbled cell connections. My 2014 BBS01 350W and 6 year old battery will outperform everything you’ve p...

Did anyone copy and save the mid drive section of the wiki?

Re: #1 Easy Quick Fix

And so it began. It reads like the responses to the madness today. Unreal. Not listening from week 1 8 years ago?!?!? EZips can use the: MY1018Z 24V 450w or 36V 450w or XYD-16 24V 450w You, apparently, had a My1018Z motor and overvolted it to 36V. This would push the 450w 16mph peak output to 675w ~...

Re: The ebike parts designing thread with CAD/CAM

I used minimal 3d-printed cell-spacers and combined each of the series groups. This saves a lot of space and maintains a minimum of safety. Unfortunately Reention can't produce cell-holders for each specific cell layout (10/13/14/16S..) and for all of their cases (DP-5/6/9..). I experimented a lot ...

Re: Return of the ES wiki!

I believe the wiki is down. I messaged the webmaster but no response yet. I'm hoping that people utilize version 2.0 a lot more than they utilized version 1.0. I'm not sure why, but I've always had fits trying to find the wiki posts. Apparently, I go brain dead trying to find the old post with the o...

Re: The ebike parts designing thread with CAD/CAM

Hey guys, just wanted to link this here, since it's very related to this topic. I tried to fit 98, instead of 91 cells into the Reention DP-9 case. Wasn't able and went for 14S6P (85 cells). Never mind. JCT (Hans)has no skin in the game. Just blather from a virtual “expert”with zero experience with most of the bits commented on. Yes, preventing heat from being generated internally in the first place, if practical is far far better than needing cooling solutions. Lower C-rates and capaci...

Forget the myriad of details for a moment, the simple answer? Those prices should alarm you. Given that the first option is "free" (included in total?), I think the other prices reflect surcharge to upgrade rather than total retail price. Can you manage one of the budget packs? Sure! Can ...

Re: Burnt BMS (Pics included) Please help?

Hate to butt into a good discussion, but I looked at the aliexpress BMS listing. There is no specification for balance current, and I will bet that BMS doesn't balance. I've been tripped more than once by that. It might say "balance BMS" in the description or on a label, but if there is n...

All do respect to the brain trust, but better BMS have me in better battery life. Each to your own, but watching hundreds if not more battery sales I saw LOTS of issues. Anyone remember having to “flash” Luna packs with the same budget BMS UPP used! I’ve messed with a few... EM3ev and others stopped...
