Re: Need Help With Lyric Scooter Batteries

Here is a link to that type of charger. Same output as the Lyric charger, except the Lyric charger has two separate outputs.

Re: Need Help With Lyric Scooter Batteries

I still have the charger but I built new battery packs and I am using the charger with those. I noticed my Swagtron Swagger 24v uses the same output charger, and you can get one of those for about $12

Re: Can Remote On/Off Be By-passed or Reprogrammed

I tried finding a 4 pin alarm wire to disconnect, no luck. I think I need to turn the alarm off in the controller and I don't know how to communicate with it to turn it off. Anyone know how to find the wiring diagram for this controller? What am I going to need to do to get this scooter rolling again?

Can you point me in the direction of the 4 pin alarm box? What should I be looking for?

Can Remote On/Off Be By-passed or Reprogrammed

I have an eBikeboard Lyric scooter that I got from a mate without a remote. When I plug the batteries in I get the standard two chirps. Can I reprogram the controller, by-pass it or do I need to replace it? In short, how do I get this thing back on the road? 20181106_125059.jpg 20181106_125329.jpg 2...

Re: Eon Scooter

I can't get the partial refund for extra upgrades removed and promised May 2017. They won't answer my emails, and I certainly can't call them. I live out of state or I would take them to small claims court. I do not expect them to act differently in the future.

Re: Eon Scooter

It is clear Eon is not truthful or transparent, for whatever reason. Looking for accountability, hoping for professionalism, pretty much disappointed. I am involved with manufacturing science and technology for a global company, and I know the way Eon acts is not how professional companies operate, ...

Re: Eon Scooter

Well, it's been a while and the news is not good. Comments on their Facebook Group page, and IndieGoGo have turned quite negative, and there is always the discussion board on letskickscoot.com that is calling it a scam. Personally, I have tried to get a refund and been rejected. Ironically I have be...

Re: Eon Scooter

They keep offering bigger batteries but who would want to go 40 miles or however far they say it will go on something this size? Maybe the bigger batteries can deliver more amps for better power.

Re: Eon Scooter

Didn't join the FB backers group yet for a few reasons, but I agree with jdm323, the more info out there the better. Seems like a good idea. I think a customer forum like this that doesn't go through the company is also a good idea. We can discuss Eon scooters without secrecy and exclamation points!...

Re: Eon Scooter

Thanks for your insightful post. Learned a lot there, but much of it went way over my head. Can you give us a user level explanation of what you posted? The controller is well built and programmable?

Re: Eon Scooter

I will post a review after I receive mine. One thing I have learned, it's one thing to read about something, it's another to ride it. I can't imagine even with dual wheel drive it will be a good off-road ride, there is not much travel in the suspension. I have a 48V eBikeboard that is great off-road...

Eon Scooter

With all the funds generated on IndieGoGo by Eon Scooter, thought it might be good to open up a discussion thread away from IndieGoGo for the many backers of these scooters. It seems like the scooters are evolving even as they sell them. I am scooter order #19, so I should be able to give an update ...

Re: Lyric Scooters / United States

I have been riding my Lyric for over two years with 4 - 12V10AH SLA's in a case mounted to the back. I had 2 - 24V packs from my Currie bicycle so I figured what the heck and tried wiring them in. Works great! It will go until the batteries drain and then it kind of repeatedly surges before it dies,...

Re: EW 36 48v500W Rebuild

Probably the only other thing is key lock. As far as power requirements, 48v 500w but I don't know the amps. These things supposedly go pretty fast and far.

Adjustable Throttle Info

I always wondered how to make a fast/slow throttle adjustment like on mobility scooters. Well, I took a mobility scooter throttle apart and here's exactly what it looks like. This is spliced into the control voltage wire between the throttle and the controller. 2015-09-23 16 (1).jpg 2015-09-23 16.jpg

EW 36 48v500W Rebuild

I got an old EW 36 48v500W mobility scooter that didn't run that I am trying to bring back to life. Anyone know what controller this uses? I need one with reverse. Motor has two wires. Checked the throttle, it works. Motor works. All the lights work, just need controller with brake cut-off and rever...

Re: 24v eZip 750 over-volted to 36v

I guess I wasn't too clear, I started with basically an eZip1000 frame, which is built to hold three batteries. Schwinn built a 750w 36v chain drive scooter on that frame. I got mine from someone who down-converted it to a 24v system. So I left the 24v 750w motor, stuck in another battery (back to t...

Re: Ezip 750 Scooter, go from 24v to 48v, what speed?

There is wiggle room. The actual compartments measure:

eZip 750: 12 1/2" L x 5" W x 4 3/8" D

Schwinn: 15 3/4"L x 7 3/8 W x 3" D

In the pictures I have some sponges as padding at the top of the Schwinn compartment. The battery slides under the back fairing a bit.

Re: Need Help With Lyric Scooter Batteries

I found the Lyric manual here http://www.bikeboard.si/pdf/LYRIC-Manual.pdf and they list the batteries as type LiMn2O4, a lithium polymer.
