Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Order in for a Camo Grey P7-R - thanks to everyone here in this thread and the futr thread. Thanks too to CD for advise and options on a battery build. This will be my first turnkey ebike having built some to date. Starting with a front wheel 250w kit, bbs01, bbs02, mac8t through to my current phase...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Been reading the warranty info on the stealth website - says the p7 frame and battery is warranted for 12 months different from the others. Anyone confirm if they stick to this? Given a p7r is close to the fighter in price I’m surprised. Cut n paste from their website - Frames Stealth Electric Bikes...

Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build
Big hit got a couple of upgrades - luna 14s controller change on the bbs02 and a mighty mini with vct-6 Sony cells. This is not really light and goes well. On assist 6 it’s got around 20kms range. I’m able to get more than 280wh out of the 6ah pack with 20% I guess in reserve. Demo 8 going great aft...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics
I’m tossing up getting a beta vs p7-r or f-37. This will be used as my commuter so I think the f would be impractical with the schlumpf two gears and draw attention with no rear cassette if the boys in blue take an interest. So that leaves p7-r with the geared rear plus the long range battery as the...

Re: Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics
Can anyone give me an idea on the real battery space inside a beta please? The frame spec says 350x100x115 and I’m wondering if a hailong (dolphin/shark) case battery would fit in there. These are around 368 long and 81 wide, em3ev 14s5p is 113 tall and the Luna 4p is 96 tall. The ideal would be cus...

Looking for something bicycle-y looking for commuting. Sur Ron look would attract too much attention here in Oz I reckon. The Alpha / P7 looks legalish and would have a legal pedelec setting. Pricey tho....

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners
Anyone compared the p7r vs the f37? I’m riding an hs3540 with 52v 22ah and 35a phaserunner in a specialised demo 8 frame. Thinking of upgrading and could go futr frame and swap everything over or just go for the finished article. 45kmh on the flat is more than enough for me although my current setup...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Thanks, Setting the Threshold to 0.0A gave me what I was looking for. The EM3EV website says the 33G 14s7p pack can run 35A continuous and 43A burst and 12A charge. Hence my settings. On the ride today tho the peak Amps was 38.10A and max regen of -8.98A. The regen matches my settings but the max am...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Having similar questions myself running PR1 and HS3540 + Statorade. I suspect my EM3EV 14s7P33G has the Smart BMS limited to 35A discharge, I know it's limited to 10A charge (that's why my regen braking isn't as strong as my old battery was). I've been trying to get a bit more initial torque (the fi...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Max regen on my old battery was 35A and it was great - but on my new one I had to reduce it to 12A because the BMS would cut in. Much less braking as a result. So make sure you have it is matched - for your battery it'll take 30A easy but your BMS may not.

Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build
5,500 Km - had to replace phase andersons. Now got 75A on on it. Need to figure out how to boost acceleration over the first 5 metres. Mate has a Mac8T with similar battery, current limits etc and he absolutely smokes my HS over the first few metres on full throttle. It's not even close but then I c...

Re: BBS01B 36V 250W - trying with higher voltage
Interesting - are you saying that all that was required is the TVS-diode and some resistors to bring the voltage down between the controller and display and this prevents the HVC error?

Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build
4,000 km and all good. Bike is so much quicker with 14s than 10s and about 10-15% more efficient too. This was something I wasn’t expecting. Had to reconfigure the controller to have 10a regen cutoff with the new Em3ev bms. On braking from >55kmh the bms would trip out and I’d get no regen braking a...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Ah, just found the notes on the Em3ev bms - 12a limit, 10a preferred. Answers that question.
Had the PR set for 25A regen and with old battery BMS no issues. Reset this to 10A to give me some headroom and all a-ok.

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run
Quick question on PR behaviour regen, h3540 and new em3ev 14s7p samsung 33g pack with bluetooth bms. When I am braking from higher speed and regen climbs above 12A, I'm getting the following behaviour - does it sound like BMS or the PR I need to check? 1. Motor brakes as regen climbs 2. At >12A rege...

Have you considered going for a bike fitting such as retul - fixed my hip/back pain with zero additional parts to the bike - I was going in completely the wrong direction with my adjustments.

Re: Ebike Hub Motor overheating cooling solution - HUBSINK OFFICIAL THREAD
Hi Robert, I too am using phaserunner hs3540 statorade hubsinks panniers and have some hills. Peak temp I’ve seen is in the 87-88 degrees range with my total weight about 125 kgs in an ambient 37 degrees. My temp doesn’t climb anywhere near as fast as yours tho even with zero pedalling and 1800w. Si...

Re: Recommendations on first e-bike upgrade
Mac with cassette is ok in a 135mm ali frame - installed one on my mates cube and had to spread rear a little. Been going great for about 3,000 kms. Definitely use torque arms, the mac is a torquey critter. CA v3 does indeed allow power to be reduced. I'd also recommend a slime tube and some tyre li...

Re: Recommendations on first e-bike upgrade
Really good kit for first bike - wish I’d gone that route. If the bike is too quick/rapid for you at first don’t worry you get used to them quickly. If you do want/need to tune things up to smooth out ride later, that’s where the ca3 excels. Enjoy!
