Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build

4,000 km and all good. Bike is so much quicker with 14s than 10s and about 10-15% more efficient too. This was something I wasn’t expecting. Had to reconfigure the controller to have 10a regen cutoff with the new Em3ev bms. On braking from >55kmh the bms would trip out and I’d get no regen braking a...

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Ah, just found the notes on the Em3ev bms - 12a limit, 10a preferred. Answers that question.

Had the PR set for 25A regen and with old battery BMS no issues. Reset this to 10A to give me some headroom and all a-ok.

Re: Compact Field Oriented Controller, ASI + Grin, limited run

Quick question on PR behaviour regen, h3540 and new em3ev 14s7p samsung 33g pack with bluetooth bms. When I am braking from higher speed and regen climbs above 12A, I'm getting the following behaviour - does it sound like BMS or the PR I need to check? 1. Motor brakes as regen climbs 2. At >12A rege...

Re: Pain in the neck and back, wrong frame size?

Have you considered going for a bike fitting such as retul - fixed my hip/back pain with zero additional parts to the bike - I was going in completely the wrong direction with my adjustments.

Re: Ebike Hub Motor overheating cooling solution - HUBSINK OFFICIAL THREAD

Hi Robert, I too am using phaserunner hs3540 statorade hubsinks panniers and have some hills. Peak temp I’ve seen is in the 87-88 degrees range with my total weight about 125 kgs in an ambient 37 degrees. My temp doesn’t climb anywhere near as fast as yours tho even with zero pedalling and 1800w. Si...

Re: Recommendations on first e-bike upgrade

Mac with cassette is ok in a 135mm ali frame - installed one on my mates cube and had to spread rear a little. Been going great for about 3,000 kms. Definitely use torque arms, the mac is a torquey critter. CA v3 does indeed allow power to be reduced. I'd also recommend a slime tube and some tyre li...

Re: Recommendations on first e-bike upgrade

Really good kit for first bike - wish I’d gone that route. If the bike is too quick/rapid for you at first don’t worry you get used to them quickly. If you do want/need to tune things up to smooth out ride later, that’s where the ca3 excels. Enjoy!

On a different bike...but fitting narrow wide and sram clutched DR solved my chain drops. Used a friction shifter for a TT bike on a Paul’s thumbies instead of trigger. Friction shifting works great with the sram

Have you checked the three phase connections are sound. One shaking loose can cause over bolts on the other two. I had this intermittently due to a backed out Anderson after hitting bumps.

Re: Recommendations on first e-bike upgrade

You have a good ebike kit there. But I’d recommend a bigger 14s battery if you can-the extra volts make a bigger difference than expected due to the current drop, less heat, more efficiency. Small percentages make quite a difference. And the bigger the battery the less it will be stressed and longer...

Put me down for twenty 30q's - and can you do a vruzend kit with them or does that blow the transport costs? Its a bit embarrassing this is such a very small play pack at 10s2p lol.

Re: 18650 Supplier for AUSTRALIA

Hi Mate, In Perth too and might be interested in a vruzend kit and some cells if you're building an order up - was initially thinking 30q's. Q's - What are you ordering? And do you know the max C for a 35e vs a 30q? This is for a spare bike with a 36v BBS02 so it's only a small pack I need e.g. 10s2...

Its great - there is also a "read log" and "read setup screen". I needed to download the latest version of Android on the phone to get the app installed. The Log gives all the charge/discharge events sorted by date with the mAh in or out. The setup shows various parameters programmed like volt cut-o...

One year on-the Sam’s 10s3p is still doing a great job for the owner of my old bbs01 reign. No loss of capacity apparent either.

Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build

Definitely a 15% reduction in Wh consumed over the 39km round-trip commute as a result of the changes. More regen too. And this was with a km of 40A testing top-end up a slight rise so I'm really pleased with the changes. The change in motor temp is a 10 degrees reduction with a significantly faster...

Re: Tats BigHit 3 BBS02 / Demo 8 ii phaserunner h35 Build

Couple of updates - new battery, hubsinks and panniers. o New 14s7p Samsung 33g from EM3EV in the rectangular hardcase. Boosted top speed significantly and is using about 10% less Wh. o Hubsinks seem to be reducing heat 5-10 degrees. o Ortblieb panniers are great and really secure. My guess is the 1...

Re: Badass e-Bike Speed Tuning Dongle

Talked/rode with a few Bosch guys with them. Pretty impressive performance increase to 42kmh and quite torquey. Think it changes the pulse frequency off the pas sensor. You can do an equivalent $2 hack by putting a magnet on the crank arm and spinning the pickup round as the crank spins slower than ...

The grin one is definitely not flimsy mate. The steel is strong and 6 mm thick. There is another TA for sale in the forum that mounts I think to the calliper bolts too, also looks like a strong steel. Haven’t got into 3D printing yet, but certainly looks like a lot of fun when fabricating-I’m still ...
