It got a payload too... it was awesome pulling my son around the park. I am a big guy so with me, my pack, gear, tow bar, my son and his bike, and the Alpha itself, I bet that motor was pulling 450 to 475 lbs. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20171005/220d66ee6561a15e04a49d0299ab894e.jpg https://upl...

Stealth FUTR owners builds and pics

And here's what happened to the old one! I was in Yellowstone with nothing to ride and a sad sad look on my face. Rix sensed something wasn't right in the world, called me on the Batphone and flew across state lines to restore eBike riding happiness. In reality, we both spent the better part of a da...

Re: Advanced ADAPTTO controllers and compatible products

... Controller has to be on. ... Coil or charging connectors had not to be connected. ... This "bms" is not what you may expected. It's more a safety feature. It bleeds only the cells down to your voltage you like. Not really balancing cells out. If you setup your bms to 4.15 it will bleed down all...

Hi John, Sorry for late answer. I ended up with 20s 14p samsung 30Q cells pack. If you want to use the same cell layout, don't use the one in the picture because there is a mistake in it :-) If you want i can send you the good layout. Bike is up and runnin and did 2 test off road of +- 60Km. I thin...

Re: Moped Rims and Wheels, 36 hole, 16" 17" 18" 19"

Been a while fellas! We just got a short shipment of 17" "rear" style rims for large hubmotors. We also have plenty of 12ga compatible nipples, along with 10ga precut spokes and nipples for cromotor size. Because of the warehouse space required for rims, and since my spoke machine is not functionin...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Were those 3 prototype hubs all for the swingarm mount? I thought one of them was a 165mm for my bottom bracket drive but my memory could be failing me here.

Thanks!

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

According to Qulbix they have both 150mm and 165mm dropout width swingarms. I'm going to look at a few 170mm free hubs and see if I can find one where the end spacers can be narrowed 5mm (.197"). That's less than 1/10 inch per side which is almost nothing. I prefer that to trying to spread the swin...

John, don't forget about the nuts on the inside of the frame. Your lipo pack picture looks like it will rub. I'd do something solid inside to keep them away from those nuts (like plywood or thick hard plastic).

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Yep. The new caliper mount will be part of the swing arm drive. I'd recommend getting a quality 150mm manufactured hub for the bottom bracket drive. Mass production parts are almost always less expensive than hand made. There is no manufactured left side drive hub that also has a left side rotor mo...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

The bottom bracket drive that I built for you can run with a normal rear hub and derailleur. The overall reduction in that two stage drive is 15:1 so it will work great with standard gears. A 22t will give you the speed that an 11t typically would give on a pedal assist mid drive. You don't need a ...

Hi MIke, will I need this caliper spacer on both my Raptors or just the one with the swingarm mount? Can I use the hubs/wheel interchangeably between the two bikes or will they not work with alignment?

Bucahanan for Custom Spokes.
Also, Holmes Hobbies has some standardized sizes. I usually go for their wheel spoke combo but you might have to order custom from Buchanan (or some other place) for your wheel.

LightningRods and I are trying to sort out spokes for his new hub, laced into a Holmes 19" moto wheel. I'm hoping the experts in this thread can help sort out the measurements Buchanan's needs. Mike, can you post up the required measurements of the hub?

What's happening with Phaserunner these days. A Mark III version coming out in the next production run? I'd still like to see and officially tuned XML file from Grin for Lightning Rods Big Block and MXUS 3000 motors.

Can you just cut off the expansion cards from the bms with a nipper? My battery is only 12S today and I don't think I will have more than 16S in the future, so I don't need the extra cards that were included. If I remember correct there is like three electrical connections between each cards. Is it...
