Re: New alleged Panasonic battery failed to deliver in road

I second all of the above ^^^^^^^ from Ebikes4Real Regardless of how good a bloke the guy is and how into ebikes he is (good to hear btw) perhaps dropping the power of your controller would be the best bet. I have seen both the GA and LG MJ1 heat up quite a bit at 5a or above per cell so there is so...

Re: New alleged Panasonic battery failed to deliver in road

Okay so i purchased a battery from a well known business that shall remain nameless. It was sold to me as Panasonic cells A grade 14AH 52volt. There were some problems, the battery failed to arrive. They stated some shipping problems. Then they have a new office in Australia. Then i receive the bat...

Re: eMax-ebikes BBS01 350w Ping 36v10ah vs Dillinger 250w fr

Yup I'll try and look at it over the w/e. I rode the old Dillinger a couple of weeks ago (sold it and the talon to a mate) and it was very different but still a lot of fun. I really like these small systems, they've got 'character'. Hi mate. If you like you can send the motor back to us and we can ...

Re: Bafang BBS02 best best place to buy for Australians

+1 for Ewan - supplying NZ. I should have asked him to sell without the Aussie GST. But service was great arriving within the week with the latest display which had only just been released at the time. I have had some issues with the chinese watt meter he supplied me (I guess you have to expect thi...

Re: Bafang BBS02 best best place to buy for Australians

Ewan, probably great advice, but I've been running the one that you programmed for me @ 52V for a year and it's performing perfectly (older, bad mosfets model). I'm in the US, but purchased from E-Max based on good reviews. To be fair, Luna was not in business yet, but thanks Ewan. Good to hear its...

Re: Bafang BBS02 best best place to buy for Australians

Thanks for the voices of confidence guys. :D

Regarding the BBS02 over the past for years we have found they are more reliable at 36v, and if you want more power best go the HD which is better designed to take the higher voltages long term.

Re: E-MAX E-BIKES NO HELP

I think perhaps you (and other vendors that go on trips/etc) should consider using an email service that has an autoresponder or vacation responder (like gmail's webmail does) or use an ISP whose email service has this, or use a program on your always-running email server (if you use your own) that...

Re: 13s4p "shark" battery -> where to buy case only?

No there is only one design. There is no way you would get the compression you need from the plastic shell. Also the cells are horizontally aligned and the case screws together vertically. I don't have any spare cases without cells in them at the moment. I can order some if you are willing to wait. ...

Re: 13s4p "shark" battery -> where to buy case only?

Hi guys I sell these cases (eMax eBikes Aus) and there is no special trick to get away from spot welding. The cell holding design is quite sturdy but you still need to weld together the cells in your desired combination. The pack sits well on the bike but we always end up adding extra holes in the m...

Re: Lekkie Bling Ring HD for BBSHD - Dealers Wanted

Saw this ring in person when I visited Daryl in Wellington last week. Its a great ring. We were developing a 44T ring for the HD but this is on hold as similar size and we are already a dealer. I can vouch for Darlys commitment to the industry and the quality of the ring. We have seen Bling Rings wi...

Re: Bafang BBS-HD, 1000W, 68mm-120mm BB

The Bling ring and other premium chainring options will not work, its a different bolt pattern. Myself and a bunch of other vendors are working on a suitable premium replacement ring for the HD which hopefully should be available when the bulk of the motors start shipping.

Bafang BBS01 and BBS02 systems: Every Bafang BBS motor is equipped with two connectors for brake sensors (HIGO, yellow 3-pin). GearSensors which are compatible with BBS motors are also supplied with the same HIGO connectors. First option is to connect the GearSensor directly to one of these connect...

Re: Gear Sensor for Bafang BBS02 Mid Drive *+ other mid-driv

Thank you for all that information. I know that using the gear sensor with a brake sensor port is not ideal because of the delay, but I believe most people that are experiencing that are using a derailleur system. Anyone has any experience with a gear sensor on an IGH system? Because apparently, th...

Hi guys, My workplace may need to soon grow its fleet of ebikes. I'm researching models and have yet to find time to go and visit any of the local retailers. The kind of urban bike we have currently is excellent. It's got a nice headlight, indicators, back tray, tops pania bags, comfy to ride. 7 sp...

BBS02-HD 1,000W

Just got back from Eurobike and had some words with Bafang regarding service, new products and improvements which can be made the the existing products. New 1000w nominal motors incoming in 68mm, 100mm and 120mm. 12 FET controllers I believe. Its definitely a shame for Doug & Cali ebike and other de...

A few months back i tried to source the GearSensor, but unfortunately the maker has now decided we don't match their business model. Its true I have been told the same thing. Will see what they say at Eurobike that seems like a probable location for launch.

Re: Raged Cube Reaction 29er Cyclocross BBS02 Build Thread

Full throttle (100% of current) is already programmed to level '0' Keep current should not be over 60. This has been reduced as many dealers early on had lots of blown controllers with keep current higher than this. Also you want to set throttle to current based on level 9 (100%). Setting it to spee...

Re: New Crank-drive Motor

By the way the other motor people are talking about is a Tongsheng. It is a torque sensing, 350w 68mm kit with 50nm of torque. Speed limited to 25km/h. No throttle. I have not seen it in the flesh, although I may order a sample. According to them Norway is currently the biggest market. 2.jpg 1.jpg 3...
