LANplus Australia batteries
Has anyone purchased ebike batteries from an Australian company LANplus? Good or bad? Web site http://lanplus.com.au/index.php?route=product/search&search=Ebike They don't look anything stunning but look reasonably priced for battery replacements on ebikes with failed packs. I am getting asked m...

Re: Controller with LCD panel hack
It would appear that simply changing the controller for one with a twist throttle is not as simple as it first seems. The motor has no hall sensors to detect phase angle even though the cables are there. There is a single hall sensor picking up a pulse once per revolution from a small magnet on the ...

Re: What fuse to use?
Selection of a fuse for an e-bike should probably be based protecting not just the wiring, it should include wire connectors, which are usually the weak link in the equation. wut i do: Using LiPo pouch batteries capable of safely discharging hundreds of amps I use connectors rated @ 60A, wiring rat...

Re: Controller with LCD panel hack
Here is the back of the LCD, as you can see it has sustained further damage getting it apart (not by me). Some wires have broken off. Note the blue wire comes off that large transistor which powers up the controller. The white wire probably came off pin "D". The yellow wire comes from one ...

Re: Controller with LCD panel hack
Here is a better picture of the controller. Note the small sub board on the right with the 3 hall wires coming out green, yellow and blue and no hall wires from the motor. The blue wire powers up the sub board on the left which is a small voltage regulator feeding 12v to the rest of the controller. ...

Re: Controller with LCD panel hack
Looks like the LCd got cracked. :( Seems to be a lot like my Fusin kit's controller, though it has more modes than yours. https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=584366#p584366 You might want to check for wires that carry battery voltage to the LCD; probably one of them will connect to an...

Re: Controller with LCD panel hack
What you're saying doesn't make sense. I've never heardof or seen any LSW controller working like that. Maybe someone wrongly rewired something that made the LCD blow. Show us photos of all the connectors on the LCD and controller, so that we can see what you've got. The LCD was dropped and damaged...

Tonight i started getting a new box ready for a build i'm planning, its not finished but i think its a good proof of concept, could use advice on one thing though. Controller with LCD panel hack
A friend asked me to attempt a repair on an "easymax easy bike". It has an LCD panel with only pedal assist and no throttle. The interesting thing is that only one hall sensor is connected and that goes to the LCD panel. The controller has a small sub board with an IC that has the hall wir...

Re: MAC motor is whining at me..
Ive heard the Macs have a problem with sticking clutches. Tip the bike over and gently turn the wheel in both directions if you can feel the motor cogging in both directions your clutch is not working. Pay to check this before pulling things apart. 1000w has had some experience with this problem.

If they're sharing space with a traditional cyclist ~30km/h. If they're sharing space with a car, at least 110km/h with the ability to do 60-100km/h in say, There are no enforced speed limits on bike tracks, at least around here, and at 30kph many of the boys in Lycra will be rounding you up. This will be interesting. I got one down to Under 15kg but have since scrapped that bike. It goes fast ok just a bit too fast. I found myself doing stupid things on skinny tyres and thought it's only a matter of time before I come unstuck. I have since gone to cruiser style bikes for a more relaxed ...
