Re: Neematic - 20kW middrive bike

To be honest as long as the Neematic actually made it to the market I don't even care. So many delay's and so much hype in the start from the people behind the Neematic promising so much and delivering nothing, except ongoing delays and and lame excuses. I never thought the Neematic would make it an...

Re: Another GasGas trials bike conversion

Look forward to see how you overcome the lsd issues and to see video if the bike ridden on hard core trial sections to see if the front motor will help you climb or if most of the traction will be planted in the rear tire so front will break traction before it actually helps driving the bike up the ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I just wanted to show you guys a couple of ideas. I cut up an old CRF70 rear fender that I had in storage. I am thinking of making a molded fender that would double sided tape to the stock fender which would add some length. Just clean the top surface of the stocker and peel and stick. It would hav...

Re: Astro vs Revolt engines

Thanks for the response. Just to be clear, getting an Astro would be an additional build on a custom titanium frame. Because I'm a crazy person. :D The high-pitched whine is a dealbreaker for me. Do y'all reckon putting an Astro 3220 inside an aluminum second skin/heat sink would kill the noise? Ha...

I really like the effort you put into this concept. I hope you go all in and make linkage rear suspension. You have made a nice start here, make sure to take it from nice to great ;) Curious to see what you can come up with for a "door" for the battery box without at the same time rob the the streng...

Re: Kawasaki KXF 250 QS 138 70H conversion

You converting a dirt bike. For off road use I assume? I would forget about over volting. For the simple reason of more range and more possible amps. If you stick to 20s20p or 20s22p your cell count will not be that much higher then 24s16p but you will have more ride time, you can drain much more pe...

Re: Petrol motor conversions

What you are after is to use the stock transmission? I would not do a carbon copy of what took place in the bangla workshops. Dirt and grime will find its way into the crank over time...and that one video had some sort of broken metal, forgot if it was the piston skirt or was it maybe the cylinder w...

Re: QS 3000w midmotor

Sure rubber belts are more common and readily stocked everywhere. But if you factor in the cost of custom pulleys and still extensive belt wear and short belt life, I don't know. Maybe those HD duty belts are not such a bad choice after all?

Re: How to built a 450CC RACE with similar weight power and torque like TACITA ?

Hm that 6 phase motor looks exciting. And the company also looks like they are doing a little twist here. They are both gonna sell electric dirtbike and provide the DIY crews with parts, including their motor. Very nice. Seems they will launch next month. For the price they are asking for the motor,...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

i haven't yet seen a chinese motor shipped (from china) in anything but a crappy cardboard box with some crumbling styrofoam surrounding it. :/ Really? All three times I ordered from QS I've received motors in wooden crates. I can't remember asking specific for that, so I guess I just thought it wa...

Finally got my build up and running. Full size KTM 250 exc, QS3000, Nucular 24f. 18s 3kw Chevy volt. Vas needs to build a 36f with 750 phase amps. First I think that you got a sweet ride. Got a build thread planned? Second, iirc vas already got plans for a 36f. But that nuc thread has grown big so ...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Weight and volume is the root cause. Motors are heavy and large and bulky. And must often be shipped in a wooden crate to ensure against transportation damages, which adds even more bulk and volume. When motor reaches the shore of Canada it has traveled around more then half the world so if you thin...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

You need the ski lift at the blip of the throttle, you really massive power to launch "kick off" from ledges, to get that mx feel. I don't think grown men can have much fun on that thing. Why is having a "mx feel" a requirement for "grown men" to have fun? I have a blast with the Sur Ron in the sno...

The drag strip has changed so much since my first race many moons ago. the rear track is designed for pit bikes (with a similar power to surrron) .. of course it's no comparison to 450cc.. still likely better than wheels for some winter snow fun;) Have never tested those pit bikes, but riding in powder really eats you power. You need the ski lift at the blip of the th...

You must be aiming for sub 10's on the strip? I just love how you keep upping the game. For sure your old strip record will be crushed by the new beast. Tesla's are low 11's, right? Bet you can smoke a tesla this fall. With this power and torque potential, end state would be a lot, lot quicker than...

Re: How to built a 450CC RACE with similar weight power and torque like TACITA ?

Yeah the Alta Mx was a great bike in many ways. But as many discovered range was a problem. For use on the track it required a spare battery for a full work out and practice session.
