Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

I think them black side covers look great. But if it is not the color of your choice have you considered doing a foil wrap? 3m got decent quality wraps and you can get em in almost any colors, or even your own design if you got some cool graphics in mind. There is even a clear protective layer you p...

Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

Well it is up to you what you do, most likely you will find that your continuous draw is less then you think. As weight shifts while on the the throttle your front tire will get less traction so you will need to modulate or even lay off the throttle. I am not too familiar with those controllers so I...

Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

And if you don't swap side overs or modify slightly you will only get 300 cells. Where do you frequently ride that will be impossible to do with a 300 cell battery that you would make for sure with 380 cells? Don't get hang up on a specific number or think you need a different frame or spend hours u...

Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

Why would you wanna carry around 600 cells in the frame? That makes no sense. If you really need that kind of range in your daily riding maybe e-bike is not for you and you should consider an electric motorcycle? Most likely you don't need close to 600 cells, I think you are suffering from range anx...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Are you sure that bill was for shipping, and not VAT or handling fees for import paperwork? When I order from China I usually get a bill at a later day then arrival of the actual package. First package is received and signed for, then later the bill comes. In Norway we have 25% VAT on top of the tot...

Re: Your Creation's Before & After Pics

It is really amazing the amount of craftsmanship on this forum. There have been so many nice builds here over the years. All kinds of bikes, trikes and scooters. And a lot of builders have really gone the extra mile to make sure every last details got the needed attention. It is truly an amazing and...

Re: Your Creation's Before & After Pics

Beg your pardon..... ?? I nice build you did for sure, and your build could easily be a feature bike too, but I don't think I said anything wrong about the ones I mentioned? The black uk bike was mid drive. So that one stands out on its own merits. Not a lot of mid drives back then with this kind o...

Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

Maybe you should consider the DVO Emerald fork? The DVO Emerald is an up side down/inverted fork with extra stiffness. The carbon fiber part "between the legs"/fork guard is super rigid and very stiff and works well to avoid flexing. The Emerald is well, a master piece. Using materials like aluminum...

Re: What happened to Nikola One Semi?

LNG is what is most common in EU. And LNG is clean gas, but when used for fuel in a diesel truck engine it is not only LNG. They also use diesel. To store LNG most effective the gas is super chilled. Like minus 125 C or something and under pressure. Before combustion gas is heated and transforms fro...

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

What type of motor are you running? If you run a hub motor you don't want to try to make rear wheel same size as 21" front wheel. The smaller OD on the rear wheel the more torque and acceleration for the bike. Btw dirt bikes don't have same size wheel, usually 21" front and 18 or 19" rear. Rear whee...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I want super fast and it will cost whatever it costs. At this point I am not interested in satisfying everyone's idea of stages of fast. I want to see what the limit of the motor is in terms of power output. At what point are you just creating heat? What does the dyno say? It will tell you. If the ...

Re: 2018 Mrazek RevX superlight electric freerider

Yeah, there something special with tubular trellis frame design. I really like that. And it does look like they did pay attention to every little detail during the design. Well except for the battery box maybe. Then again, you can only do so much for the battery. The motor, controller, power output ...

Re: What happened to Nikola One Semi?

In the late 90's we started to get a shift from regular gas or diesel 4x4 trucks to get em rebuild kits that allowed for running on LNG(?) gas.(can't really remember the type of liquid gas) Them kits was about 3.000-4.000 $, plus installation fee. The tank was huge, like it ate half the bed on a 4x4...
