Could that customer be based in Tel-Aviv ?

Either way for the speed it might be worth looking at fitting some 13" tires in the 6.5 hubs or use the DTX motor/hub/tire combo which would give you increase speed per RPM.
I heard you uncovered me today :D
Nicely done

Re: Speed record with scooter requirements?

100 MPH on a stand up scooter? Make sure you have good medical insurance. Also, seriously consider investing in an airbag equipped race suite like the one of Alpinstars Tech Air Race compatible suits (+ the actual Tech Air Race vest, of course), or Dainese Misano. Haven't thought about safety yet.....

Re: Speed record with scooter requirements?

I´d say go for a belt or chain driven rear wheel setup. I personally don´t like that due to noise/inefficiency but in your case this sounds optimal, because you can change the gearing to fulfill your needs. A single motor would be sufficient ih he doesn´t want to set the acceleration record aswell ...

Speed record with scooter requirements?

I've got a really ambitious customer who wants to do a custom Dualtron build for breaking the current 149kmh scooter speed record. * Rion apparantly only claim 100mph while no one ever proved that so I call that bs So, let's say aim for 155-160kmh This guy is not a noob, he built quite a few custom ...

Tested the internal resistance with a tester and both show 8.2ohm What internal resistance tester do you use? I'm looking for one, but can't seem to find a good one that lasts. 3 years later...awakened from the dead! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000687056125.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.12d91...

Constant current on nickel, not sure if will heat up

A small 2S pack with 10mm long 8mm wide 0.15mm thick pure nickel for the positive and negative.
It will run 7.4V at 5A for about 3 hours.

Am not good with heat dissipation calculations and some help here would be much appreciated :D

Man Daly BMS is junk when it comes to the programmable version compared to ANT BMS. So since their support barely understands the English language and just repeat my question or answer with a typical 'yes', so here I am asking you guys. So, attached are the two screens I ran into some wandering abou...

Re: Help Paralleling Lipos

Batteries have to be within 0.01V when paralleling. As far as the BMS goes, since the lipo's themselves dont have a bms but do come with balance wires, you want one overall bms, with all 3 parallel batteries balance wires connected in parallel. Probably not a good thing to add another factor (the b...

Help Paralleling Lipos

I have 9pcs 7S packs and need to connect it to a 21S 3P. The question is, if I connect 3 sets of 21S, then I need to parallel everything. Can I parallel just the first negative and last positive wires of all 3 groups? Bare in mind that I'm connecting them to a BMS and will have balance wires paralle...

Re: Battery Load Tester Question

So you basically did not try if it works? I think it deserves a chance. The device I bought from the link works but I'm not big electronics wiz but do know that there is a reason why most of those resistors banks are controlled with dumb AC switches instead of a small circuit to control it. ...

Did you measure the state of your cell's balance before you operated it the first time?
Yes, these are brand new perfectly balanced cells, some of the packs have a bluetooth bms with live data, all perfect from day one also perfect balance during current draw.

Re: Lithium Battery Break In?

If anything causes a 'break in' process, it's cells that are not balanced, as shipped by the factory. As you charge it multiple times fully, you balance it, and the pack as a whole, being more balanced, performs better and produces the most capacity. Most battery sellers do not match their cells pr...

Yup, nada.
Found even weird stuff from 2005 and one from 2006.
I started to believe it may be related to mosfets of either the BMS or the controller's.
Any idea?

Re: How Much Efficiency Drop In Summer?

 In a situation like this, i'd consider using something akin to a hubsink if possible to increase the overall amount of metal that can dissipate heat. maybe heatsinks bolted on to the sides would work, if you don't have disk brakes. But with such small hubs, you may catch things on those h...

Re: Lithium Battery Break In?

There was always a break in period with our lipo cells. They add some kind of stabilizer to the batteries to prolong shelf life. I suspect some li-ion manufacturers do this as well. Generally its a good idea to go easy on a pack for at least the first few cycles and stop at the 50% mark rather than...
